    CORTLAND, N.Y. – The Cortland women's basketball team trailed Potsdam by two points midway through the third quarter but finished the period on a 18-5 run on its way to a 72-51 win over the visiting Bears. Cortland (17-2, 13-0 SUNYAC) notched its 16th straight victory, the longest since a 20-game win streak in 2009-10 and tied for the sixth longest win streak all-time in program history. The program record is 22 straight wins to open the 1999-2000 season.

    CORTLAND, N.Y. – The Cortland women's basketball team grabbed a 10-point lead after one quarter and led by at least nine points the rest of the way in a 62-46 win over visiting New Paltz. The game featured the top two teams in the SUNYAC - Cortland improved to 13-2 overall and remained atop the league standings with a 9-0 mark. New Paltz, the defending 2020 SUNYAC tournament champion, entered the game second in the conference and is now 12-5 overall and 8-3 in league action.

  • Cortland Women Shut Down Brockport, 44-31, for 10th Straight Win

    BROCKPORT, N.Y. – Cortland limited Brockport to 18 percent shooting from the field and the Red Dragons defeated the host Golden Eagles, 44-31, in a SUNYAC women's basketball contest. Cortland earned its 10th straight victory to improve to 11-2 overall and remain in first place in the league standings with a 7-0 conference mark. The 31 points are the fewest Cortland has allowed to a SUNYAC opponent since a 53-25 win at Buffalo State in February 2009.
