Women's

Jaycie Christopher

Christopher averaged 26 points, nine rebounds, three assists, and a steal per game in a 2-0 week in conference, shooting 72% (18-for-25) from the field and 77% from three (10-for-13). She had a career-best 30 points in a 79-55 win over Western Connecticut, shooting 10-for-13 (5-for-5 from three), with 10 rebounds. 

 

Jackie Funk

Funk averaged 21 points and six rebounds per game as Cortland opened SUNYAC play with two victories. She shot 60% from the field (15-of-25), including 63% (5-of-8) from 3-point range, and made all seven free throws. On Friday evening, Funk scored 16 points and pulled down seven rebounds in a 61-46 win over Oswego; the following day, she made 9-of-14 shots and finished with a career-high 26 points in a 61-48 win over previously unbeaten Canton. 

 

Brianna Nusbaum

Nusbaum powered the Cardinals' offense to wins over Carleton and Gustavus Adolphus. She posted 21 points in a 64-48 win over the Knights before pouring in 24 points in the Cardinals' 83-73 double overtime upset of Gustavus. Nusbaum forced OT with a clutch three-pointer with less than a minute to play to help the Cardinals improve to 7-1 on the year, the program's best start in a decade.

 

Elly Schmitz

Schmitz averaged 28 points and nine rebounds per game in two conference wins this week. She dropped 26 points, shooting 67% from the field while adding three assists and four steals at Macalester, then recorded a double-double with 29 points and 16 rebounds in another road win at St. Catherine's.

 

Macy Miller

Miller led Ohio Wesleyan to a massive road win at No. 10 John Carroll. She scored a game-high 16 points and pulled down 13 rebounds, also a game-high, to go along with three assists.  Miller shot 57% from the floor and had just one turnover. 

 

Men's

Julian Sanchez

Sanchez came off the bench for Eastern Connecticut in all three games this week, averaging 17 points, nine rebounds, and three assists per game.  He shot 65% from the floor and 80% from the three point line. In a huge road conference win, 78-73 against in-state rival Western Connecticut, Sanchez had 16 points and 12 boards on 70% shooting. 

 

Zuri Harris

Harris helped Elizabethtown go 2-0 on the week in conference, moving to 7-1 overall, the best start in fifteen years. Harris had a career high 26 points, including seven made three pointers in the 95-93 in OT win against Drew. He also led the team to victory over Goucher with a game-high 20 points and a career high five assists.

 

Buckley DeJardin

DeJardin led Carnegie Mellon to a pair of wins at the UAA Challenge hosted by Bowdoin, a 90-88 OT win over the hosts and a 70-57 win over Middlebury. DeJardin averaged 22 points while shooting 75% (18-24) from the floor, including 6-of-10 from behind the arc. Against Bowdoin, he scored 26 points on 11-of-14 shooting, tying a career high for made baskets. DeJardin also recorded three steals and two blocks in the game.

 

Elijah Kinney

Kinney led the squad to two victories on the week, with averages of 24 points, 14 rebounds, five blocks, and an assist and a steal per game.  He shot 62% from the field, 67% from three and 90% from the FT line - all in just an average of 25 minutes of game action.
 

 

Logan Landers

Landers opened the week with 19 points and 12 rebounds at Marian and followed that up with a record-breaking 49-point 2OT game vs. MSOE.  Along with 10 rebounds, Landers also shot 23-for-23 from the free throw line.  He was 29-for-30 overall from the line on the week, shooting 60% from the floor.
