2024 Division III women's head coaching changes

This is where we track all the head coaching changes in Division III women's basketball that occur from the end of the 2023-24 season to the start of the next one. We'll provide links to the news stories posted on schools' websites so you can go deeper into the moves that interest you, plus we have same tracker on the men's side.

Beloit Natalie Miller Larry Knight Assistant at Beloit Miller went 19-31 in two seasons with the Buccaneers. Prior to joining Miller's staff, Knight was a high school junior varsity coach in Maryland.
Brandeis Carol Simon Julie Prichett Assistant at Babson. Simon went 469-419 in 35 seasons with the Judges. Prichett has 13 seasons of head coaching experience across Regis (Mass.), former D3 member Pine Manor, and Division II St. Anselm.

Boettcher was a two-sport athlete at BVU, playing basketball and softball for the Beavers.
Cairn Allen Kuiper TBD TBD Kuiper went 20-31 in two seasons with the Highlanders, who had a 12-win improvement last season.

Jacqui Hullah Kathy McConnell-Miller High School coach in Washington, Pa. McConnell-Miller went 156-176 in 11 seasons split between D1 Tulsa and Colorado. She also coached in the WNBA before returning to Western PA where she started her coaching career.
CCNY Varrell Eddie Marcello Di Russo Assistant at CCNY Di Russo also had coaching stops at USCAA member Five Towns and junior college LaGuardia Community College.
Chicago Maria Williamson TBD TBD Williamson went 53-24 in four seasons with the Maroons.
Covenant Kyle Yost TBD TBD Yost went 7-17 in this sole season with the Scots.
Dominican Antonio Rivas Tethnie Carrillo Assistant at Dominican Carrillo went 142-211 in 16 seasons as the head coach at Elmhurst.

Didier Dinh Megan Dixon Assistant at Eastern Nazarene Dixon was second team all-region as a player at Mass-Boston in 2022.
Edgewood Chaia Huff TBD TBD Huff went 104-85 in eight seasons with the Eagles and was the program's winningest coach. She joined the staff at D1 Marquette.
Elmhurst Jason Pruitt TBD TBD Pruitt, who took an assistant position at D1 Indiana State, went 12-14 in his lone season with the Bluejays.

Grove City Chelle Fuss Jason Baker Interim head coach at Grove City Baker went 11-14 as the Wolverines' interim head coach last season.
Heidelberg Rachel Mease Erin Eaton Assistant at Heidelberg Eaton went 14-46 in three seasons at Muskingum and 80-102 in seven seasons at Pitt-Greensburg.
Hendrix Drew Gaeng Wes Sullivan Head men's basketball coach at NAIA Arkansas Baptist in 2021-22 Sullivan was previously a volunteer assistant at Hendrix for one season and also coached baseball at D1 Central Arkansas in the late 1990s.
Juniata Danny Young-Uhrich TBD TBD Young-Uhrich, who led the Eagles to the NCAA Tournament four times, went 254-279 in 15 seasons at Juniata.
Keuka Gary Broadhurst Paige Emborsky Graduate assistant at D1
Virginia Commonwealth
Emborsky, who worked under former D3 head coach Beth Boyle last season, returns to Western New York. She finished her playing career at D2 Daemen in Amherst, N.Y.
LaGrange Jasen Jonus TBD TBD Jonus, who left for Oglethorpe, went 61-28 in four seasons at LaGrange and was the 2023 CCS Coach of the Year.

Brown had been on Mike Miller's staff at Messiah since his time as a graduate student there. His grandfather was the head coach at Prince George's Community College in Maryland for more than 40 years. 

Lycoming Christen Ditzler Shane Rottier Head coach at Wilson Ditzler had 614 wins as a head coach at Lyco -- 366 in basketball, 235 in softball, and 13 in volleyball. She's replaced by Rottier who went 41-36 in three seasons at Wilson.
Marywood Jennifer Carleton Tara Macciocco Assistant men's
basketball coach at Keystone
Macciocco returns to Marywood where she is already the all-time winningest coach with 206 wins in 14 seasons.
Millikin Olivia Lett Kirsten Hammer Assistant at UW-Whitewater Lett went 105-48 in six seasons, leading the Big Blue to the last three NCAA tournaments. She departs for the top job at D2 Illiniois-Springfield and is replaced by Hammer who was the top assistant at WIAC champion UW-Whitewater.

Jackie Ward Abby Wemhoff Assistant at Juniata Wemhoff spent six season as Juniata after playing four at Mount Union.
MUW Drew Johnson Eric Vaughn Assistant at Millsaps Vaughn was an assistant coach for the Millsaps men's and women's basketball programs and the interim head coach for Mississippi Delta Community College.

(Minn.)
Szabala went 34-27 in two seasons as the Rams' head coach. Prior to his time at NCU, Rohrback coached high school boys basketball in South Dakota.
Northland Benjamin Kluzak TBD TBD Kluzak went 0-22 in his lone season as the Jills' head coach.
Norwich Mark Zacher Ute Otley High school coach in
Hinesburg, Vt.
Otley won four Ivy League championships as a player at Dartmouth and her daughter Sadie played at Tufts.
Oglethorpe Alex Richey Jasen Jonus Head coach at LaGrange Richey, who was the SAA Coach of the year in 2018 and 2020, went 154-103 in 10 seasons with the Stormy Petrels. He has been replaced by Jasen Jonus, who was the head coach at LaGrange for four seasons.
Pitt-Greensburg Darien Lantz TBD TBD Lantz went 26-27 in two sesons with the Panthers.
Pratt Ziggy Brown Carlos Acevedo Assistant at D2 Adelphi Acevedo, who had success at the Division II level, will try to turn around the Cannoneers who went 1-41 in their last two seasons.

After building St. John Fisher into the top program in the Empire 8, Kuberka will try to do the same with RIT in the Liberty League. She replaces Reed who had more wins (192) than all of RIT's previous NCAA coaches combined (111).

Sage Allison Coleman Michael Branche Assistant coach at Sage Coleman went 142-103 in 10 seasons with the Gators, winning more games than the rest of the school's previous NCAA coaches combined (120). Branche is also the school's head women's tennis coach.

St. Mary's (Md.) Brittney Kemp TBD TBD Kemp left St. Mary's (Md.) after three seasons to become the next head coach at Washington and Lee.
St. Mary's (Minn.) David Foley Courtney Shelton Assistant at D1 UW-Milwaukee Shelton graduated from D1 Northern Illinois and coached six seasons at Central Michigan.
St. Olaf Jasmine Borgmann TBD TBD Borgmann was the interim head coach for the Oles last season.

After leading the Pioneers to the 2023 national title and the third longest winning streak in D-III WBB history, Fulks will be the new head coach at D-I Marshall. Varel was promoted from within.
Trinity (Conn.) Emily Garner Maria Williamson Head coach at Chicago Garner made the jump to D1 Cornell after going 124-55 with the Bantams and leading Trinity to its best season ever in 2022-23. Williamson, who has experience playing in New England (Bowdoin) and coaching there (Dartmouth) moves to the NESCAC from the UAA.

Cook has spent the last decade as an assistant and head coach for junior colleges in the Chesapeake region.

Quntashea Lewis Megan Green Assistant at Dickinson Green was part of the Centennial Conference coaching staff of the year in 2022-23 and also coached at Mary Washington.

Christine Clancy Brittney Kemp Head coach at St. Mary's (Md.) Clancy went 212-122 in 13 seasons with the Generals, leading them to the Elite 8 and their first Top 25 ranking this past season. Kemp went 43-33 in three seasons with the Seahawks and won UEC Coach of the Year honors in 2022-23.
Washington U. Randi Henderson TBD TBD Henderson went 103-54 in seven seasons at WashU including four NCAA Tournament appearances. She returns to her alma mater Division I Iowa where she'll be an assistant.

Kanika Cummings Assistant at Trinity (Conn.) Cummings was the Bantams' top assistant the last three seasons and coached at Conn College prior to that. The Lyons went 10-15 last season.

Lori Drake Annalee Bollinger Assistant at Brevard Bollinger knows William Peace's conference well after coaching at Averett when it was in that conference and playing and coaching at Brevard.

Lindsay Sharman Seraphine Hamilton High school head coach and teacher
in Princeton, N.J.
Hamilton had success as a player (two Liberty League titles) and assistant coach at William Smith. She also played soccer for the Herons.

Wooster Mary Kate Tierney TBD TBD Tierney went 11-67 in three seasons with the Fighting Scots.
