December 13, 2025 Griffins Battle Bulldogs with Perimeter Play Brooklyn, N.Y. - (12/13/2025) - Gwynedd Mercy University (7-2) enjoyed another good afternoon from beyond the arch as they hit a season-high 14 three-point baskets (14-of-33, .424 3PT%) with their third game of .400 shooting or better so far this season. The Red and Gold's strong perimeter play carved them out an early double-digit lead; 23-13 (13:42), and extended a 40-34 (0:57) halftime advantage into a 71-46 (8:24) second-half lead that sustained in a 82-69 final. The Griffins were led by graduate guard Dylan Harris (Bloomsburg, Pa.), who hit 5-of-9 (.556) from long range in a 19-point performance. He was joined in double figures by senior guard Jake Okon (Yonkers, N.Y.) and sophomore guard Bruce Smith (Philadelphia, Pa.); both finished with 11 points.
December 8, 2025 Nittany Lions Never Have a Shot as Harris Gets Hot Gwynedd Valley, Pa. - (12/8/2025) - Gwynedd Mercy University (6-2) consistently found Dylan Harris (Bloomsburg, Pa.) for open perimeter shots and he made Penn State Abington (1-10) pay for leaving him so open as the graduate guard hit six from long range (6-of-9, .667 3PT%) in a career-high 22-point performance. In a 86-70 victory, the Red and Gold found their first double-digit lead with 7:33 (27-17) remaining in the first half. A late Nittany Lion push made the halftime spread look competitive; 39-33 (0:59), but the second half was a different story as a hot-handed Harris helped the Griffins put the contest out of reach early in an 86-70 conclusion. Five Griffins finished in double figures; Harris was complemented by sophomore guard Bruce Smith (Philadelphia, Pa.) (11 points), senior guard Jalen Snead (Philadelphia, Pa.) (10), senior guard D.J. Johnson (Norristown, Pa.) (10), and junior guard Zaiyin Keys (Chichester, Pa.) (10).
December 3, 2025 Cold, Hot, Up, and Down; Griffins Give to Golden Wolves in Overtime Gwynedd Valley, Pa. - (12/3/2025) - Gwynedd Mercy University (5-2) could not find a basket off the opening tip, but worked Alvernia University (4-3) down to a 31-22 (0:32) halftime deficit. It was junior guard Mazen Sayed (Chichester, Pa.) who sparked the Red and Gold and he continued to lead them through a second half that saw the Griffins tie the game on a jumper by sophomore guard Bruce Smith (Philadelphia, Pa.) just past the seven-minute mark, 57-57 (6:50), and grab a three-point lead on a much-needed three-point basket from graduate guard Dylan Harris (Bloomsburg, Pa.); 69-66 (3:33). Unfortunately, the Golden Wolves forced an overtime frame where an 81-76 (2:38) Griffin perch was not enough as the visitors used a couple clutch three-point baskets (1:54, 0:38) to slingshot for an eventual 88-84 (0:06) win.
November 22, 2025 Hot First Half Brings Victory over Valley Forge Gwynedd Valley, Pa. - (11/22/2025) - Gwynedd Mercy University (5-1) was on their mark in the first half of today's 93-85 victory at the University of Valley Forge as the Griffins hit 6-of-11 (.545) from three-point range and found their way to the free throw line regularly - 10-of-15 (.667) - en route to a 44-36 halftime lead. After intermission, the Red and Gold continued to hit the three-point basket - 6-of-13 (.462) - using perimeter success to grow their lead to as many as 20 points (64-44, 13:46) before holding off several Patriot rallies in the eight-point conclusion. Gwynedd Mercy University was led by another career performance from senior guard Jalen Snead (Philadelphia, Pa.) as the captain led four Griffins in double figures with 34 points, while commanding the court with four rebounds, four assists, and five steals.
November 19, 2025 Snead Steals Show in Victory over Eagles Gwynedd Valley, Pa. - (11/19/2025) - Senior guard Jalen Snead (Philadelphia, Pa.) stole the show in tonight's 94-80 win over Eastern University (2-2) as the Gwynedd Mercy University (4-1) captain was there at every turn, totaling a career-high 24 points, seven rebounds, five assists, a block, and three steals in the victory. The Red and Gold overcame an early 9-2 (16:44) deficit, taking the lead on an Snead fastbreak, 16-15 (10:22), and riding the highs to a 43-29 halftime advantage. In the second half, the Griffin protected their perch with consistent defensive pressure and accuracy at the free throw line (16-for-20, .800). Snead was joined in double figures by senior guard D.J. Johnson (Norristown, Pa.) (14 points), graduate guard Dylan Harris (Bloomsburg, Pa.) (12), and sophomore guard Bruce Smith (Philadelphia, Pa.) (12).
November 15, 2025 Mont Alto No Contest as Harris Hits from Long Range Gwynedd Valley, Pa. - (11/15/2025) - Gwynedd Mercy University (3-1) gave Penn State Mont Alto (3-1) little chance in an 81-63 final as graduate guard Dylan Harris (Bloomsburg, Pa.) hit 5-of-9 (.556) from long range and the Griffins caused 26 Nittany Lion turnovers over the course of 40 minutes. (11 points) and sophomore guard Bruce Smith (Philadelphia, Pa.) (10).
