LAPLUME, PA. -- Gwynedd-Mercy rallied from a 10-point deficit with 10 minutes in regulation to knock off Keystone, 100-96, Monday night in a CSAC contest.

The Griffins improve to 14-8 overall and 9-6 in the league play and in the process, snap the Giants' 20-game home winning streak.

Senior Dan DelConte led GM with 22 points. Junior Frank Champion netted 19 points to go along with seven rebounds, while Brandon Williams added 16.  Freshman Justin Knight collected his first double-double of the season, scoring 14 points and grabbing 13 boards.

Malcolm Boone led the Giants (17-4, 11-3 CSAC) with 22 points and 13 rebounds. Teammate Mike Kelly scored 17 points to go along with seven assists. Miles Dargan and Kenneth Hardnett each added 14 points, while Tim Benedix hit for 12 points and Duncan Lunsford 11. Keystone connected on 15 three-pointers, with Benedix and Dargan recording four each.

Gwynedd started the contest in a rut, falling behind, 14-5, five minutes in. Later in the stanza, an 11-2 run grew the deficit to 43-26 with 7:40 in the period. Thanks to a 54% shooting performance, the Griffins used a run of their own, outscoring Keystone, 20-9, to close the period and cut the hole to six (52-46) at the break.

After back-and-forth scoring, Tim Benedix hit his fourth three-pointer of the night to give Keystone a seemingly 75-65 lead with 10:49 left in the game.

However, the Griffins faught and clawed over the next seven minutes and finally were able to tie it at 88-88 as Champion's bucket and ensuing free-throw capped a three-point play. Knight's eventual go-ahead bucket with 1:06 left broke a 91-91 tie and gave GM a lead they would not relinquish the rest of the way. The Griffins were able to ice it at the free-throw line, hitting 7-of-8 as a team to help cement the win.

GM hit on a season-high 38 field goals in a 49.4% shooting effort but only made a season-low three three-pointers. Gwynedd forced 19 turnovers and were able to convert 23 points.

Gwynedd-Mercy is right back at it on Wednesday as they travel to Baptist Bible for a CSAC tilt as part of a doubleheader. Tip off is slated for 8 p.m.
