Women's

Lauren Huber

Huber powered Illinois Wesleyan to a 3-0 week, as the Titans picked up two top-15 wins.  She averaged 18 points per game on 21-of-42 shooting and was the team leader with eight rebounds per game.  In Illinois Wesleyan's 84-78 win at No. 9 UW-Whitewater, Huber put up 15 points, nine rebounds, and five assists; she followed that up with 14 points, seven rebounds, and four assists against DePauw and a season-high 24 points in a win at No. 11 WashU. Huber added seven boards and four assists to help IWU overcome a 10-point deficit.

 

Emma Kniefel

Kniefel led the Gusties to a 78-72 victory over previously unbeaten Colorado College this week. After starting the game down eight points on meager 4-for-19 first-quarter shooting, Kniefel hit a buzzer-beater 3-pointer at the end of the quarter to get the team back on track. She finished the game with a team-high 21 points on 8-for-17 shooting and added a trio of rebounds, seven assists, two steals, and a block.

 

Grace Jaffray

Jaffray has been named the GNAC Player and Rookie of the Week after dropping a school-record 43 points to lift the Wildcats a 74-51 win at Wheaton (MA) College. She shot 14-of-31 from the field and knocked down 14-of-15 from the charity stripe.  Jaffray also snared 10 rebounds and collected five steals as JWU remained perfect on the season.

 

Kate Botti

After missing the first two games with an injury, Botti recorded a 25-point, 10-rebound double-double with four assists, four blocks, and two steals in the Bison's 99-77 win over Waynesburg.  She shot 63% from the field.

 

Zoe Tomlinson

Tomlinson put up a season high 18 rebounds in a win over Pacific Lutheran, topping 1000 for her career. Against the Lutes, she also racked up a season-high 29 points, four blocks, two assists, and shot 7-for-8 from the free throw line. Tomlinson had 27 points and 16 rebounds in a tight loss to No. 10 Gustavus Adolphus on Monday, then led CC to two victories at home over the weekend.  She averaged 25 points, 17 rebounds, three assists, and two blocks over the three games.

 

Men's

Jamison Graves

Graves scored a career-high 36 points in Averett's 80-65 win over No. 18 Christopher Newport, breaking Averett's single-game record for 3-point percentage (88%) in the process. He shot 69% from the field and added three rebounds, two assists, and a steal as Averett picked up their second win on the season over a ranked opponent.

 

Angel Price-Espada

Price-Espada had a huge game in Westfield's 95-72 win over Anna Maria.  He scored 35 points on 11-22 shooting from the floor and 9-10 at the foul line, adding six boards, five assists, and two steals.

 

Jordan Oates

Oates put together one of his strongest two-game stretches, beginning with a season-high 27 points against Virginia Wesleyan while adding six rebounds. He followed the effort with his second career 20-20 game, tallying 21 points and a career-high 21 rebounds against Gallaudet.  He averaged 24 points and 14 rebounds on the week, shooting 64%.

 

AJ Rohosy

Rohosy averaged 22 points and 10 rebounds while shooting 71% from the floor in a 3-0 week for the Stags with wins over La Verne, Southwestern and No. 19 Trinity (Texas). He had a huge effort in a SCIAC-opening win over La Verne, tallying 33 points and 18 rebounds on 13-17 shooting. After limited action/touches in a 29-point win against Southwestern's zone defense (9 points, 3 rebounds), Rohosy had another big game with 24 points on 9-14 shooting and nine boards in a dominant 87-65 win over Trinity. 

 

Joshua Van Gorp

Van Gorp averaged 26 points and 13 boards over three wins this week, including back-to-back 30 point performances on the way to being named to the Snyder Classic All Tournament Team. He shot 65% from the floor and 75% from the FT line and averaged two assists per game.
