Women's
Emma Kniefel
Kniefel opened the year averaging 15 points per game in wins against a trio of WIAC opponents, including No. 13 ranked UW-Stout. Against UW-Eau Claire she shot 9-13 from the field and a perfect 6-for-6 from three for a total of 24 points, a career high. The six threes were the most for Gustavus Adolphus since 2018. Against Stout, Kniefel led the team in assists with five, while chipping in seven points, a pair of rebounds, and a steal. She has a 5.0 assist/turnover ratio on the season.
Ava Ryncarz
Ryncarz helped lead JCU to a 4-0 start. She averaged 19 points, nine rebounds, and two steals, shooting 57% from three point range. The highlight of the early season was a 30 point, 12 rebound performance against Brockport, where Ryncarz shot 10-22 from the floor, including 7-11 from deep. She has missed just two free throws on the year.
Emily Grasseler
Grasseler averaged 28 points and 16 rebounds per game. She recorded a career-high 27 points and 20 rebounds in an overtime win over Baruch, followed up by another career-high 28 points to go along with 12 boards in a home loss to No. 1 NYU. She is shooting 48% from the floor.
Mary Schleusner
Schleusner picked up where she left off from her dazzling sophomore campaign, averaging 27 points, 15 rebounds, and three blocks per game in three huge wins for the Generals. She went for 28 points, 14 rebounds, and four assists in a season-opening 69-61 win over Southern Virginia, before pouring in 32 points and 21 rebounds in an 84-79 victory over Emory. Schleusner closed the week by helping the team to a 79-60 win over Oglethorpe with 21 points, nine boards, three blocks and a steal. She is shooting 52% from the floor.
Logan Thayne
Thayne delivered an outstanding week, averaging 28 points, 16 rebounds, and four blocks as the Fighting Tigers went 2-0. She dominated on both ends of the court, leading Cobleskill to a win over Alfred State with a game-high 22 points, 18 rebounds, three blocks, and an assist, while shooting a perfect 9-9 from the free throw line. Thayne followed that performance with a season-high 33 points, 14 rebounds, and five blocks, playing a key role in the Tigers' thrilling overtime victory against RPI.
Men's
Adam Brazil
Brazil averaged 26 points in two games, scoring a career-high 34 points on 10-16 field goals, including two three-pointers, and a perfect 12-12 from the line, along with eight rebounds, and two assists during an 84-77 home win past No. 7 Randolph-Macon on Nov. 13. Brazil added 17 points, six assists, and four rebounds during an 81-64 road win at Swarthmore on Nov. 8.
Sam Trunley
Trunley set a school record with 45 points against Brockport on November 9 and matched a school record with seven steals against Houghton on November 16. He has averaged 27 points, nine rebounds, and two steals on the season, shooting 52% from the floor and 97% from the FT line.
Michael Metcalf-Grassman
Metcalf-Grassman averaged 27 points and nine rebounds in UW-Oshkosh's 2-1 start to the season, shooting 48% from the field, 36% from three and 82% from the FT line. He was named MVP at the Heidelberg University Ron Linhart Memorial Tournament by scoring 23 points with eight rebounds in UW-Oshkosh's upset victory over No. 9 Calvin on Nov. 15 and a 29-point, 10-rebound double-double in an 18-point comeback victory over Manchester University. Against the Spartans, he contributed 12 points to a 16-7 run in the second half that erased the deficit to allow Oshkosh to pull ahead in the final minutes of play to secure the 90-84 win.
Aiden Callahan
Callahan averaged 17 points and seven assists per game helping WPI to a 3-0 week. He started with five points, 10 assists, and four rebounds in a 99-55 win over cross-city foe Worcester State in the 2024-25 home opener. Callahan then dropped a career-high 29 points, five assists, and four rebounds in an 80-73 win over St. Joseph's (Maine), before adding 18 points, seven assists, and four rebounds in a 74-60 win versus Amherst leading WPI to win the Ted Coghlin Tournament championship and the tournament MVP for the second consecutive season.
Scott Gyimesi
Gyimesi was named NESCAC Player of the Week after averaging 18 points and 10 rebounds per game, also adding five assists per contest. He turned the ball over just once in 32 minutes of action, and added two steals on the week. Gyimesi started the season with 13 points, nine assists, and nine boards against previously unbeaten Bridgewater State, then posted a game-high 23 points and 11 rebounds in a win over Emerson.
