Women's

Kasey Schipfer

Schipfer scored 21 points during the first half to help Ohio Wesleyan build a double-digit lead against Wittenberg, then kicked off a 7-0 run to start the fourth quarter as the Bishops pulled away for a win in a battle of NCAC unbeatens.  She finished with career-high 34 points and grabbed a team-high seven rebounds.  Schipfer was 14-for-20 from the field and dished out three assists with four steals.
 
 

Heaven Figueroa

Figueroa led the Lightning to a pair of CUNYAC victories while averaging 40 points and 12 rebounds.  Against CCNY she tallied 39 points while grabbing nine rebounds.  She was also credited with three assists and seven steals.  Two nights later she netted 41 points and grabbed 15 points in a victory over Brooklyn.  Against the Bulldogs she had seven assists and six steals.

 

Abrianna Vazquez

Vazquez, the CNE player of the week, averaged 26 points over three games, including a stellar 39 point outing against the University of Hartford, which helped her make history as the first player in both program and league history to score 2,000-career points. Vazquez also averaged three rebounds and five steals per game, shooting 40% from the floor. 

 

Shyanne Phillips

Phillips exploded for a career-high 26 points to lead all scorers in the Ladies' 74-61 win over Dallas at home and added a game-high and league-leading 19 rebounds.. She was 11-17 from the floor and 4-4 at the free-throw line in 30 minutes with a blocked shot and a steal.

 

Makayla Anderson

Makayla Anderson averaged 23 points and 10 rebounds per game last week as the Cobbers defeated St. Catherine and St. Olaf.  She shot 70% from the floor, including a flawless performance from behind the arc and 83% shooting from the FT line. She also averaged two assists and two steals per game.   

 

Men's

Sam Grieger

Grieger averaged 22 points, three assists, and two rebounds this week. He finished with 13 points, three rebounds, two assists, two blocks, and one steal versus No. 1 UW-Platteville, then had a career-high 30 points with three assists in a 84-83 overtime win at No. 18 UW-Stevens Point. Grieger went four-of-seven from three-point range and 12-of-14 at the free throw line in the game, including a perfect three of three in overtime.

 

Sam Trunley

Trunley led the Spartans to an 89-67 win over then-ranked Carnegie Mellon in the opening game of University Athletic Association play.  He led all scorers with 28 points, making 11-of-21 shots overall, including four-of-nine from behind the three-point line. Trunley also matched his career-high with six assists while collecting seven rebounds and three steals.

 

Justin Allen

Allen broke the school record single-game scoring (50 points) and three-point (nine made) records in 101-92 overtime victory against Dickinson College.  He shot 17-of-30 from the floor and he converted 9-of-13 from behind the arc. Allen also was perfect at the foul line making all seven of his attempts in the win.  He then scored 19 points in the Tartans' setback at Case Western Reserve. For the week, Allen averaged 35 points, shot 53% (25-47) from the floor and 69% (11-16) from behind the arc. 

 

Jacob Cook

Cook was named the MIAC Defensive Player of the Week for his 21-point, 15-rebound performance in Concordia's win at St. Olaf. The 15 boards were a season high for Cook, who led the Cobber defense that limited the Oles to 26 total rebounds in the game.  He shot 61% from the floor, including two of two from behind the arc to go along with three blocks and two assists.       

 

Curt Heinz

Heinz nearly averaged a triple-double while shooting 59% from the field during MMA's 3-0 conference week, picking up NAC Co-Player and solo Defensive Player of the Week awards.  He averaged 25 points, 16 rebounds, seven assists, and four blocks on the week.  His best game was 22 points, 21 rebounds, and 10 assists against Lesley.
