SEWANEE, Tenn. – Never quitting and never giving up was the mindset the Millsaps women’s basketball team took with them into the second half on Friday. The Majors overcame a 16-point second-half deficit to take down Sewanee, 57-51 inside the Juhan Gymnasium.

The chain of coaching moves that started with John Ross' leaving Calvin has now reached Shreveport, Louisiana. Justin LeBlanc is headed to Millsaps to replace Chuck Winkelman who headed to Calvin.
Calvin selected Millsaps head coach Chuck Winkelman to fill the head coaching vacancy created when John Ross stepped down. Winkelman has a .698 winning percentage after 15 seasons at Hendrix and Millsaps.

Sewanee, Tenn. – In what has been a memorable 2011-12 season for the Millsaps Majors Women's Basketball Team, the team reached another milestone on Sunday afternoon against Sewanee as they became the third team in the history of the program to achieve 20 wins in a season. The Majors now prepare for the next step, the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament.
