No. 22 St. John Fisher Beats Rival Naz for Sixth E8 TitleFebruary 26, 2022PITTSFORD, N.Y. – For the sixth time in program history and for the second time in the last three years, the nationally-ranked St. John Fisher College women’s basketball stands alone atop the Empire 8 after the top-seeded Cardinals defeated third-seeded Nazareth College on Saturday afternoon, 83-52, to win the Empire 8 Championship and secure the league’s automatic berth into the NCAA Division III Women’s Basketball Championship. With the win, Fisher, which is ranked 22nd in the latest D3hoops.com national poll, improved to 25-2 on the year, which marks its most wins in a season since going 25-5 during the 2004-05 season. The Golden Flyers had their season come to an end at 17-10.

No. 25 St. John Fisher Posts 1,000th Overall Win Following Victory Over ClarksonDecember 10, 2021The nationally-ranked St. John Fisher College women's basketball team remained undefeated after a close win over Clarkson University Friday night, 66-63, inside Manning and Napier Varsity Gymnasium at Bobby Wanzer Court. The Cardinals, who are ranked 25th in the latest D3hoops.com poll, improved to 7-0, while the Golden Knights closed out the evening at 0-8. The win had added significance as it marked the 1000th all-time win in Fisher's storied history. Overall, the Cardinals, who are one of just four teams across all of Division III to have at least 1,000 victories in their history, boast a 1,000-294 overall record dating back to 1974. In all, the team has claimed five Empire 8 Championships, reached the NCAA Championship 15 times overall and finished as the National Runner-up twice.

St. John Fisher To Play For Empire 8 Title After Downing Houghton in the SemisFebruary 23, 2018PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher College women's basketball team matched its longest winning streak since 2005 as the top-seeded Cardinals cruised past fourth-seeded Houghton College, 62-46, on Friday in the semifinal round of the Empire 8 Championship inside Manning and Napier Varsity Gymnasium on Bobby Wanzer Court. With the win, which has now posted 14 consecutive victories and 18 in its last 19 games overall, improved to 21-5 and advanced to Saturday's title game while the Highlanders saw their season end with a 13-13 overall mark.
