February 28, 2025 Fourth-Seeded Men’s Basketball Falls in SUNYAC Semifinals to Top-Seeded New Paltz NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – The fourth-seeded Plattsburgh State men's basketball team fell in a State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) semifinal game on Friday night to top-seeded New Paltz, as the Hawks won 74-72. The Cardinals led by two with a little over a minute left but a late bucket plus the free throw from the Hawks was enough for them to hold on for the win. 
February 25, 2025 Fourth-Seeded Men’s Basketball Wins SUNYAC Tournament First-Round Game Against Fifth-Seeded Morrisville, Winning 69-66 PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The fourth-seeded Plattsburgh State men's basketball team won their State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) tournament first-round game over the fifth-seeded Morrisville Mustangs 69-66 which was Plattsburgh's first win in the postseason since the 2017-18 season. The Cardinals were led by senior guard Franklin Infante (East Rockaway, N.Y. / East Rockaway) with his third straight 20-point game as he surpassed the 1,000-point mark of his career. Infante finished with a game-high 21 points to go with his seven rebounds.
February 22, 2025 Men’s Basketball Clinches Fourth Seed in SUNYAC Tournament With Dominant 116-95 Win Over Fredonia on Senior Day PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State men's basketball team clinched the fourth seed and home court in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) tournament first-round game with a dominant 116-95 win over Fredonia on senior day in their regular season finale. Junior guard Kareem Welch (Brooklyn, N.Y. / Thomas Jefferson) paced the Cardinal offense with a game-high 25 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists in an all-around performance.
February 21, 2025 Franklin Infante’s Game-Winning Free Throw Lifts Men’s Basketball Past Buffalo State 78-77 in Overtime PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – Senior guard Franklin Infante (East Rockaway, N.Y. / East Rockaway) netted the game-winning free throw after getting fouled on a layup with 0.9 seconds remaining in overtime. Infante made his first free throw which tied the game, and his second free throw won the game and gave the Plattsburgh State men's basketball team a 78-77 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) overtime win over Buffalo State. Infante finished the night with a game-high 24 points to go with seven rebounds and two assists.
February 15, 2025 Men’s Basketball Drops Road SUNYAC Contest to Canton CANTON, N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State men's basketball team dropped a road State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) contest to Canton, falling 93-88 on Saturday evening. Junior guard Kareem Welch (Brooklyn, N.Y. / Thomas Jefferson) paced the Cardinal offense with a career-high 30 points to go with four rebounds, two assists, and a block.
February 14, 2025 Men’s Basketball Clinches SUNYAC Playoff Berth, Defeats Oswego State 87-74 in Road SUNYAC Action OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State men's basketball team clinched a State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) playoff berth on Friday night, taking an 87-74 SUNYAC win over Oswego State on the road. After putting up 50 points in the first half, the Cardinals continued their offensive showing in the second half ultimately winning 87-74 over the Lakers to earn the season series sweep. Senior guard Kevin Tabb (Brooklyn, N.Y. / Thomas Jefferson) led all scorers in points with 24 points while shooting 100.0% from behind the arc and at the free throw line. Tabb also dished out five assists and grabbed three rebounds.
