    Nebraska Wesleyan, the lone remaining dual member of the NAIA and NCAA Division III, is giving up its NAIA affiliation effective July 2016 and joining the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference that fall.

    CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Coe College used an early 12-0 run against Carthage Friday night, as they came away with a 70-63 victory over the Red Men. The victory was the home opener for the Kohawks and new coach Bryan Martin.

    MOUNT VERNON, Iowa - Senior David Mataloni (Urbandale, Iowa/Urbandale) scored 14 points Wednesday, as Coe cruised by Linn County rival Cornell 66-52. Mataloni is the 15th player in school history with 1,000 points.

    ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Regents jumped out to a 7-2 lead in the first 2:23 of the game, but Coe used a strong inside game to beat Rockford 65-61 Tuesday night. The win improved Coe to 2-1 on the year.

    WAVERLY, Iowa - Coe College led by as much as 22 Wednesday night, as they cruised by Wartburg 67-55. The win moved the Kohawks into sole possession of first place in the IIAC standings and clinched at least a share of the league title.

    CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Coe College and Cornell College were a combined 25-of-46 from 3-point range Wednesday at Eby Fieldhouse, where the Kohawks used a 15-0 run in the first half to beat the Rams 72-67. It was the fourth-straight win over Cornell for Coe.

    DUBUQUE, Iowa - Loras College jumped out to an 8-0 lead in the first 2:25 of the game, but Coe College fought back in the second half for a 69-67 win over the Duhawks. Junior David Mataloni(Urbandale, Iowa/Urbandale) scored with :02.7 to play to give Coe the win.

    MOUNT VERNON, Iowa - Coe College shot over 50 percent for the game, as they beat Cornell 77-64 in a game of long-time Iowa Conference rivals. The win was the 105th all-time against Cornell in the 200th meeting between the two schools.

    CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Buena VIsta countered every Kohawk run in the second half, as they handed the Kohawks their first home loss of the season, 75-61, at Eby Fieldhouse. Coe shot just 37.5 percent, while the Beavers shot 52.7 percent from the floor.

    CHICAGO, Ill. - The Kohawks got a season-high 25 points from junior David Mataloni (Urbandale, Iowa/Urbandale), but it wasn't enough in an 82-76 loss to the University of Chicago in Coe's final game in the windy city. A late 10-0 run by Maroons sealed the win for Chicago.
