    UTICA, NY – The second-seeded men's basketball team could not overcome shooting under 35 percent from the field (22-for-63), falling at the hands of fourth-seeded St. John Fisher, 78-62, in the Empire 8 Championship game on Saturday at Utica University. Jonathan Park led Nazareth with 17 points and 10 rebounds.

    UTICA, NY -- Freshman Jaylen Savage led five players into double-digit scoring with 15 points Friday as the Nazareth Men's Basketball team scored a 73-66 win over Alfred in the Empire 8 Tournament semifinals to advance to the championship game.
  • Park Eclipses 900 Career Rebounds As Men's Hoops Drops Keuka, 81-59

    ROCHESTER, NY – Graduate student Jonathan Park moved into third place all-time in career rebounds (912) as Nazareth rolled to an 81-59 victory over Keuka College on Tuesday night. He had 19 points on 9-for-13 from the field, including three dunks, in addition to 15 boards. It was his 13th double-double of the season. Park trails only Brad Ford '14 (944) and Chris Pegan '98 (946) for on the career record book.

    ROCHESTER, NY – Freshman Jaylen Savage scored 17 of his game-high 23 points in the second half to lead the Nazareth Men’s Basketball team to a convincing 84-53 win over Medaille Saturday in an Empire 8 game at Kidera Gym. Nazareth (17-4 overall, 11-3 Empire 8) led by just eight points at 32-24 after the first 20 minutes of action as the Golden Flyers hit 41.4 percent (12-of-29) from the field and were limited to 1-of-10 shooting from 3-point range.
  • Park Reaches 1,000 Career Points As Nazareth Loses Thriller At Utica, 68-66

    UTICA, NY – Graduate student Jonathan Park became the 29th player in program history to score over 1,000 career points as Nazareth fell 68-66 to Utica on Tuesday night. It was the second time this season that the Golden Flyers fell at the hands of the Pioneers.

    ROCHESTER, NY – The final result never seemed to be in doubt Saturday afternoon as the Nazareth Men’s Basketball team opened an early lead and cruised to an 89-56 win over Hartwick in Empire 8 action at Kidera Gymnasium. The Golden Flyers (13-2 overall, 7-1 E8), ranked #25 in the latest d3hoops.com national poll, jumped out to an early 10-0 lead and held a 16-point edge at 22-6 eight minutes into the contest.
  • Utica Roars Back To Hand No. 19 Nazareth 85-81 Overtime Loss

    ROCHESTER, NY – Visiting Utica roared back from down by as many as 15 points in the second half to send the game to overtime and eventually hand 19th-ranked Nazareth its first conference loss of the season on Tuesday night, 85-81. Senior Jordan Haggard had a season-high 23 points on 8-for-10 from the field and was a perfect 5-for-5 from downtown.

  • Nazareth Takes Seventh-Straight With 78-70 Win At Medaille

    BUFFALO, NY – 20th-ranked Nazareth held off a gritty Medaille squad on Friday night as five players scored in double-figures in a 78-70 victory, led by Jonathan Park's seventh double-double of the season. Park was 8-for-11 from the field for 18 points, with 17 rebounds and two blocks. Jordan Haggard scored in double-figures for the third-straight game with 16 points on 6-for-12 to go along with six boards. Jaylen Savage added 14 points, while Zach Stenglein and Logan Blankenberg each poured in 13 points apiece.

    ROCHESTER, NY – Freshman Jaylen Savage scored a game-high 24 points to help Nazareth hand No. 5 Oswego its first loss of the season, 80-77, Tuesday night at Kidera Gymnasium. It was a career-high in for points for Savage as he went 9-for-19 from the floor and had two steals.
  • Park and Company Roll Past Cortland 79-44 To Win Mike Daley Memorial Tournament

    ROCHESTER, NY – Nazareth exploded out of the gates against Cortland on Saturday afternoon and never looked back, defeating the Red Dragons 79-44 in the championship game of the Mike Daley Memorial Tournament. Graduate student Jonathan Park was named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament after scoring a game-high 25 points on 12-for-16 shooting, to go along with 15 rebounds, and six blocks. Joining Park on the all-tournament team were Zach Stenglein and Logan Blankenberg. With the win, Nazareth improves to 2-0 on the season.

    ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Host Nazareth used a 10-2 scoring run late in the second half Tuesday to break open a close game for a 71-66 non-conference men's basketball victory over SUNY Poly on the Mike Daley Court at the Kidera Gymnasium. The Golden Flyers had four players score in double figures, led by a career-high 20 points from sophomore Zach Stenglein, to improve to 5-2 overall. The Wildcats dropped to 2-4.

    ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Stephen Gabel scored a career-high 23 points and Zach Stenglein added 12 points, five assists and three steals Thursday for Nazareth as the Golden Flyers rallied for a 70-65 men's basketball victory over RIT. The game was played at the University of Rochester Palestra as part of the fourth annual Mark's Pizzeria Crosstown Shootout and kept the Golden Flyers unbeaten at 4-0 overall. RIT lost for the first time and dropped to 2-1. Nazareth will play again Saturday against the University of Rochester at 8 p.m.
