Women's

Brianna Fitzgerald

Fitzgerald had a historic week after leading the Hawks to three wins over SUNYAC opponents. She posted the second triple-double in school history with 16 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists to go along with five steals and two blocks in a 75-52 win over Brockport. The following day, Fitzgerald finished with 30 points, 11 rebounds, three blocks, and five steals in a 75-52 win over Geneseo. On the week, she averaged 21 points, shooting 51% from the field, 10 rebounds, six assists, four steals, and three blocks.

 

Cassie Nash

Nash averaged 25 points, 16 rebounds and six steals across the two road games, shooting 65% from the floor. She recorded her first double-double of the year at Coe with 19 points and 14 rebounds and followed that performance with 30 points and a career-high 17 rebounds at Luther. 
 

 

Kasey Schipfer

Schipfer led the Bishops to a pair of wins this week, rallying late to defeat Denison on the road before posting a home win over DePauw, the first for Ohio Wesleyan at Branch Rickey Arena since 2014. Schipfer averaged 25 points, nine rebounds, and four steals per game, shooting 52% from the field and 90% from the FT line. She had a late steal to set up the game winning bucket as OWU prevailed 63-61 at Denison then had a game-high 28 points and 12 rebounds in the 74-64 win over DePauw.

 

Mary Schleusner

Schleusner had a dominating performance to help the No. 22 Generals turn a 10-point, third-quarter deficit into a 75-62 win over Lynchburg on Wednesday night. She shot 15-of-21 (.714) from the field to score a game-high 36 points, while adding 16 rebounds, five steals, and three blocks.

 

Sarah Dempsey

Dempsey averaged 30 points per game and shot 75% from the field (24-for-32) to lead the Gulls to a 2-0 week in conference play.  She opened play with a program-record 39-point performance in a 101-74 victory against Nichols on Wednesday, shooting 84% (16-19) from the floor with 15 rebounds and five assists.  Dempsey added 21 more poiunts on Saturday in a wire-to-wire win over Hartford.

 

Men's

Tyree Mitchell

Mitchell helped power USJ to a 2-0 week and back to the top of the GNAC standings, averaging 34 points, eight rebounds, and two assists over a pair of GNAC contests. Mitchell was extremely efficient shooting the ball, connecting on 22-of-33 (67%) attempts from the field, including 8-of-13 (62%) from beyond the arc, and also converted 16-of-19 (84%) attempts from the free-throw line. He opened the week scoring a career-high 42 points (13-19 FG, 5-8 3FG, 11-13 FT), including his 1,000th career point, and grabbed six rebounds in a 108-77 victory on the road at Dean, then followed that up by dropping a game-high 26 points (9-14 FG, 3-5 3FG, 5-6 FT) and grabbing nine boards in a 100-86 triumph at home versus intrastate and conference rival Albertus Magnus in a battle of GNAC undefeateds on Saturday.

 

Jojo Anderson

Anderson scored 24 of his game-high 28 points in the second half of Whitworth's win at Whitman on Tuesday, a showdown between teams tied for first in the NWC standings.  The Pirates rallied from an eight-point deficit early in the second half.  Anderson had three three-pointers during a stretch when Whitworth outscored Whitman 43-10 in the second half.  He then scored 21 of his 23 points vs. Lewis & Clark in the decisive first half.  He made nearly 65% of his field goals and 6-7 from three-point range.  Maybe most important, he committed only one turnover in 66 minutes played.
 
 

Nick Hurowitz

Hurowitz picked up two double-doubles, averaging 26 points and 13 rebounds, while shooting 54% from the field and 42% from beyond the arc as the Rams picked up conference road wins in two difficult environments.  Hurowitz went for 30 points and 16 boards Tuesday at Merchant Marine, then added 22 points and a game-high 10 rebounds Saturday night in a big victory at Yeshiva.

 

Daniel Mbangue

Mbangue scored 13 points with seven assists, five rebounds, three steals, and a block in a 70-64 win at Bridgewater, the helped RMC knock off then-No. 1 Hampden-Sydney with 15 points on 7-7 shooting with five rebounds in the 48-46 victory.
 
 

Nate Karren

Karren averaged 17 points, four rebounds, and two assists during a key 2-0 NESCAC weekend for the Ephs. He shot a combined 11 of 18 from the field, 8 for 12 on 3-pointers and 3 of 4 from the free-throw line.  Karren scored a game-high 17 points and tied a team-best seven rebounds, to go along with a 5-of-8 effort on 3-point shots, during a 55-54 victory over No. 4-ranked Trinity on Friday evening. The five made 3-pointers tied a career-high for Karren. The Ephs became the first team to defeat the Bantams during the 2023-24 season, as Karren hit the game-winning, 3-point shot with two seconds remaining.  He also finished with a team-high 16 points, going 3 of 4 on threes, during a 76-65 triumph over visiting Wesleyan on Saturday.
