She averaged 19 rebounds and 18 points per game, including a season-high 20 boards against St. Thomas, just one shy of her career-high. She scored 23 points against Centenary, the third time this season she has had 20 points or more in a game. For the week, Tomlinson connected on 48% of her shots and added three assists and two blocks per game.
Men's
Anthony Mazzeo
Mazzeo was named the Most Valuable Player of the 2023 D3hoops.com Classic after leading the No. 2 Spartans to a pair of wins. He averaged 28 points per game, shooting 65% (20-31) from the floor, including 50% (8-16) from three-point range, and added an 89% (8-9) mark from the free throw line. He also led the team with seven rebounds and seven assists per game. It was a truly dominant performance and a coming out party on a national stage.
Momo Stokes
Stokes had a career weekend in Atlanta, leading the Bruins to two wins over strong teams and averaging 22 points, four rebounds, and three assists per game in a 2-0 Christmas Break. Against Maryville (Tenn.), Stokes totaled 19 points and two steals to help George Fox defeat the Scots, 97-84. The very next day against No. 22 Emory, Stokes shot 13-14 from the line and 5-10 from the field, nailing the game-winning free throws with seconds remaining to defeat the Eagles, 85-82.
Jacob Harvey
Harvey led the No. 9 Tiger men's basketball team to a pair of wins at the D3hoops.com Classic in Las Vegas last week, defeating Clark University (MA) and Pomona-Pitzer Colleges (CA). He averaged 27 points per game on 50% shooting (15-of-30) overall and 63% (12-for-19) from three-point range. In the 84-83 win over Clark, Harvey nailed the game-winning three-pointer with less than 30 seconds left. He followed his late-game heroics with a career-high 33 points in the win over Pomona, knocking down 9-of-13 three-pointers to tie Trinity's all-time record for three-pointers in a game.
Davidson Hubbard
Hubbard was the ODAC Player of the Week and scored a career-high and game-high 31 points (13-23 FGs, 3-9 3FGs, 2-2 FTs), adding a game-high nine rebounds, along with three assists, and two steals during an 85-67 road win at No. 7 John Carroll (then ranked No. 1) on Dec. 19. He followed that up with 12 points (5-10 FGs, 2-5 3FGs) and a game-high 10 rebounds during a 64-58 home win past Salisbury (MD) on Dec. 30.
Hunter Nielsen
Nielsen had a huge game on Saturday for the Vikings, posting the program's first ever triple-double in an 83-78 win over Wartburg. The senior did it the unconventional way, as he supplemented his 19 points and 13 rebounds with a career-best 10 blocks to achieve the feat. During the two contests the Vikings played at the Steven Moore Sunshine Classic on Dec. 19-20, Nielsen averaged 21 points and nine rebounds and was named All-Tournament Team. In the two week span, he was 23-of-30 from the field and shot 15-of-17 from the charity stripe.
