Women's
Hannah Lilly
Lilly averaged 25.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 5.0 steals in helping
the Eagles to home wins against Carnegie Mellon and Case. Lilly
scored 26, hitting 10-of-17 from the field, including 6-of-11 from
three-point range, in a 59-55 win over Carnegie Mellon. She had
four rebounds and a team-high tying five steals. She followed that
with 24 points in a 68-56 victory over Case. She went 8-for-16 from
the field and was 6-for-6 from the line with another five-steal
outing. In the two games, Lilly was successful on 54.5 percent
(18-of-33) from the floor including 42.1 percent (8-of-19) from
beyond the arc.
Caroline Stedman
Stedman averaged 20.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.0
blocks during a 3-0 week, shooting 19-for-23 from the line and 43.5
percent overall. She scored a career-high 31 and had three blocks
in an 81-58 win over No. 19 Kean. During a span of 5:30 late in the
game, Stedman was 3-for-3 from the floor and 2-for-2 at the line.
In a 63-59 win at Bowdoin she scored a team-high 17. Stedman led a
14-0 second-half run by completing a three-point play and knocking
down a three-pointer. Stedman closed the week with 14 points, four
assists and a pair of blocks in a 51-50 win at Colby, helping the
Jeffs overcome a late seven-point deficit with a hand in six of her
team's final eight points. After recording assists on buckets that
cut Colby's lead to three (48-45) and handed the lead back to
Amherst (49-48), Stedman knocked down the game-winner shot with 18
seconds left.
Courtney Cirillo
Cirillo averaged 23 points and 15 rebounds to power Keene State to
Little East victories against Plymouth State and Mass-Dartmouth.
She hit 40 percent (10-for-25) of her attempts from the field and
92.9 percent (26-for-28) from the foul line. On Jan 17., Cirillo
posted a double-double -- 17 points and 17 rebounds -- to lead the
Owls past the Panthers. Four days later, Cirillo set a school
record by converting on each of her 17 attempts from the charity
stripe. She scored a season-high 29 points and collected 13
rebounds against the Corsairs.
Sarah Mackey
Mackey had the first triple-double in program history in a 58-56
win against Chapman, with 22 points, 12 rebounds and 10 blocks. Her
10th block came on the last shot to preserve the win. She followed
up with 26 points, seven rebounds and four blocks at Simpson
(Calif.). Her block midway through the second half started an 18-2
to put the game away for the Slugs. She shot 19-for-33 from the
floor for the week.
Holly Schiedermayer
Schiedermayer averaged 21.0 points and 11.3 rebounds in three
games for Macalester. She posted a career-high 26 points and 13
rebounds in a 71-56 win against St. Benedict and hit the
game-winning free throw as part of her 23 points in a 61-60 win at
Hamline.
Men's
Cory Lemons
Lemons averaged 19.5 points, 7.5 assists and 7.5 rebounds in a 2-0
week for Cabrini. He turned the ball over just three times in 67
minutes of action, while shooting 6-for-10 from beyond the arc and
15-for-29 overall.
Jake Simmons
After scoring 16 points in 20 minutes in a 86-63 win over Potsdam
State on Friday, Simmons went off on Saturday. His 37 points in the
110-68 victory against Plattsburgh State were one short of a career
high, and his nine three-pointers set a new school record. He shot
11-for-23 from three-point range, 20-for-37 overall.
Shane Manor
Manor led the Falcons with 26 points and nine rebounds in the
team's 82-75 overtime win at No. 11 ranked UW-Stevens Point. The
win snapped a UWSP 29-game home winning streak. In a loss at
UW-Superior, Manor scored a career-high 31 points. He finished the
week scoring 57 points and grabbing 14 rebounds, shooting 19-for-29
from the floor and 19-for-20 from the line.
Tim McCrary
McCrary averaged 25.5 points, 9.0 rebounds and 4.0 steals,
including a season-high 27 points in a win against Carthage. He
shot 17-for-27 from the floor and 17-for-19 from the line.
Mark Lessen
Lessen averaged 26.7 points, 12.7 rebounds, 3.0 blocks and 2.7
steals for the week, adding a .733 field goal percentage and a .700
free throw percentage. Lessen set career-highs in Eureka's
double-digit victory at Blackburn with 34 points and 18 rebounds
for his sixth double-double of the season.
