La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's basketball team earned an 69-57 win over UW-Eau Claire Wednesday night in the first round of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championships (presented by Culver's). The Eagles improve to 16-10 on the season and advance to play at UW-Whitewater in the tournament semifinals Friday, February 24 at 7 p.m. UW-Eau Claire ends its season at 13-13.

La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's basketball team earned a 57-51 victory over UW-Stevens Point Saturday afternoon in Mitchell Hall in the regular-season finale for both teams. UWL improves to 15-10 overall and 9-5 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) while UW-Stevens Point falls to 17-8 overall and 9-5 in the conference.
La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's basketball team earned a 62-44 victory over UW-Eau Claire Saturday afternoon in Mitchell Hall. The Eagles improve to 13-10 overall and 7-5 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) while the Blugolds drop to 12-11 overall and 6-6 in the conference. With the win, UWL sweept the regular season with UW-Eau Claire for the first time since 1986-87. The Eagles earned a 64-55 victory earlier (January 11) in Eau Claire.
La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's basketball team fell 71-64 to 14th-ranked UW-Oshkosh Wednesday night in Mitchell Hall. The Eagles drop to 12-10 overall and 6-5 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) while the Titans improve to 20-2 overall and 10-1 in the conference. UW-Oshkosh recorded its sixth straight win over UWL with Wednesday's victory.
La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's basketball team earned a 62-43 victory over UW-River Falls Wednesday night in Mitchell Hall. The Eagles improve to 11-9 overall and 5-4 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) while the Falcons drop to 6-14 overall and 1-8 in the conference. With the win, UWL earns a sweep of the regular season games with UW-River Falls after earning a 57-44 victory January 18 in River Falls.
La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's basketball team earned its fourth straight win with a 71-56 victory over UW-Platteville Saturday afternoon in Mitchell Hall. The Eagles improve ot 10-7 overall and 4-2 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) while the Pioneers drop to 6-11 overall and 2-4 in the conference. It is UWL's second win in the last seven meetings with UW-Platteville.
La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's basketball team earned a 64-52 victory over UW-Stout Saturday afternoon in Mitchell Hall. The Eagles improve to 8-7 overall and 2-2 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) while the Blue Devils drop to 5-10 overall and 1-3 in the conference. UW-Stout had won nine of the previous 13 meetings with UWL entering Saturday.
La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's basketball team fell 65-62 in overtime to 21st-ranked UW-Whitewater Wednesday night in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) opener for both teams. UWL drops to 6-6 overall while UW-Whitewater improves to 11-1. The Warhawks earned their 10th straight win over the Eagles with Wednesday's win.
La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's basketball team earned a 68-58 victory over Simpson College (Iowa) Saturday night in the Holiday Inn Express Thanksgiving Classic. The Eagles improve to 3-2 on the season while the Storm drop to 1-2.
UW-La Crosse went outside Wisconsin and Division III to select former Division I player and coach Karen Middleton as its next head women’s basketball coach. She replaces Lois Heeren who stepped down in March after 17 seasons at the helm of the Eagles' program.

The Eagles improve to 2-0 on the season while the Storm fall to 1-1. It is UW-L's first 2-0 start since winning its first six games in 2010-11. The Eagles went on to finish 20-8 in 2010-11 and earn a bid to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Tournament.
