July 25, 2023 Rowan Names Kate Pearson Women's Basketball Coach GLASSBORO, NJ - Kate Pearson has been named the head women's basketball coach at Rowan University, it was announced by director of athletics John Giannini. Pearson becomes the 10th head coach in Profs' history after 14 successful seasons at Cabrini University in which she led the Cavaliers to five conference titles and five NCAA Tournament appearances.
May 22, 2023 Rowan mourns loss of champion coach, player Demetrius Poles, who helped Rowan win the 1996 Division III national championship and then coached the Profs' women to two conference crowns, passed away on Saturday night. The two-time NJAC Coach of the Year was 50 years old.
February 25, 2023 CHAMPS! Rowan Women's Basketball Downs NJCU, 79-70, for NJAC Title JERSEY CITY, NJ – Nicole Mallard had 17 points and Dakota Adams scored 15 as third-seeded Rowan won the 2023 NJAC Women’s Basketball Championship, defeating top-seeded New Jersey City, 79-70, Saturday evening. It is Rowan’s second title under coach Demetrius Poles, with the last one coming in the 2019-20 season, while it is the eighth all-time for the Profs.
February 22, 2023 Rowan Wins 68-58 at Kean in NJAC Semifinal; To Play at NJCU on Saturday in title game UNION, NJ – Grace Marshall scored 12 of her 16 points in the fourth quarter and Dakota Adams kicked in a game-high 19 points to lead Rowan to a 68-58 win over Kean in the seminifals of the 2023 New Jersey Athletic Conference Tournament.
February 18, 2023 Saturday women: Bants, Profs advance The top seeds advanced through the NESCAC and NJAC women’s playoffs with No. 19 Trinity (Conn.) edging Amherst and Rowan rallying past Ramapo. Elsewhere, No. 24 Loras knocked off No. 20 Wartburg and Muskingum closed its season by upsetting No. 11 Ohio Northern.
February 18, 2023 Rowan Women's Basketball Defeats Ramapo, 69-65, in NJAC Tournament Opener GLASSBORO, NJ -- A late three-pointer from Grace Marshall put Rowan on top for good as the Profs held off Ramapo, 69-65, Saturday afternoon at Esbjornson Gymnasium in a NJAC Tournament First-Round game.
