DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Lauren Gregg shot 11-for-14 from the field and finished with 29 points as Rowan University notched an 86-71 victory over host Delaware Valley College in a non-conference game.

Gregg had a balanced effort as she scored 15 points in the first half and added 14 in the second as she hit all five of her shots from the field in the final stanza. She was 2-for-3 from 3-point and 5-for-6 from the free throw line in 32 minutes of action.

The Profs (2-2) took command of the game thanks to a 20-2 run that turned a two-point lead into a 41-21 advantage with 1:44 remaining in the first half. Gregg had seven points in the spurt while Ashley Russo added five.

Rowan eventually took a 43-29 lead into the intermission and the Aggies were never able to get closer than that the rest of the way. The Profs finished the game shooting 53.2 percent from the field (33-for-62) and held a 14-2 advantage in fast break points. Russo ended the evening with 14 points and six assists while Gina Catanzariti added 14 points, six rebounds and four assists.

Emily Soper paced Delaware Valley (2-2) with 25 points and seven rebounds while Brittany Battinieri poured in 21 points. Melissa Weil came off the bench to hit a trio of 3-pointers and finished with nine points.
