GLASSBORO, N.J. - Wesley College's Angie Owens (Seaford, Del./Seaford) scored 17 of her game-high 25 in the second half as the Wolverines erased a 14-point halftime deficit to steal a 73-70 win on the road at Rowan.

The senior hit 11-of-18 field goals in the game, grabbed nine rebounds, dished out three assists, blocked three shots and ended the game with five steals in stellar all-around effort.

The Profs (6-5) jumped out to a 19-5 lead in the first six minutes as Wesley (5-3) came out ice cold, shooting just 8-of-37 in the first half to trail 37-23 at the half.

Owens scored eight points in the first 2:41 of the second half as the Wolverines opened with a 16-4 run that trimmed Rowan's lead to 41-39 with 16:33 to go in the game after fastbreak lay up by Cory Boyd (Point Pleasant, N.J./Point Pleasant).

The Profs clung to the lead for nearly six more minutes until Wesley broke through with a Jazmine Miller (Dover, Del./Dover) basket that made it 54-53 with 10:48 to play.

The Wolverines never led by more than five and held just a two-point margin with 45 seconds to play.  A pair of layups by Brittany Baum were off the mark in the last 20 seconds and Wesley held on for the win.

Miller and Katie Kirk (Drexel Hill, Pa./Archbishop Prendergast) each scored a dozen points in the win.  Miller also had 11 boards for her first career double-double.

Boyd passed out 10 assists.

The Wolverines controlled the glass, grabbing 21 offensive rebounds to fuel a 49-39 edge in rebounding.  Allison Beddia (New Castle, Del./Delcastle) led the team with 15 boards.

After shooting just 22 percent in the first half, Wesley shot 52 percent in the second half to aid the comeback.

Lauren Gregg paced Rowan with 20 points.  Baum added 13 points and 11 rebounds, while both Lauren Creel and Ashley Russo pitched in with 11 points.

The victory pushed the Wolverines' win streak to four games entering the Wesley Shootout on December 28-29.
