GLASSBORO, NJ -- Kate Herlihy netted her 1,000th career point to highlight Rowan's 64-47 New Jersey Athletic Conference victory over Kean Wednesday night.

The senior guard needed 20 points entering the contest and that's what she finished with as the Profs pick up its third-straight win. Sabrina Araujo kicked in 15 points and Shayla Johnson etched her first career double-double with 12 points and a game-high 10 rebounds. Johnson and Charlotte Carlies each added three blocks win the win.

Herlihy becomes the 20th player in team history to hit the 1,000 point milestone.

The Profs (14-7, 10-4 NJAC) stormed out of the gate, kick starting the game on an 11-0 run and later held an 18-4 lead after layup from Haley Selmer. Kean rallied to get it to 18-10 after the first.

Three-pointers from Kean's Brittany Graff and later Jordyn Keating trimmed the Prof lead to just 22-19 at the 4:22 mark. Now a 23-21 contest, Araujo helped swing back the momentum for the Profs as she connected on back-to-back triples for an eight-point lead. Rowan, who rebounded from a 1-for-12 shooting stretch in the frame, closed out the quarter on a 9-4 spurt to take a 31-23 at halftime.

Araujo and Johnson drained three-pointers as part of 12-0 run for a 45-29 lead and KU timeout in the third quarter.

Leading 53-35 to start the final frame, Herlihy claimed her career scoring milestone at the 7:36 mark as she drained a pull-up jumper from the right elbow. Kean would pull as close as 58-46 soon after on a three from Peyton Smith, but it was the final field goal for the Cougars (10-11, 7-7 NJAC) over the final five minutes of the contest.

Graff, Keating, and Smith all ended with eight points apiece for the visitors. Maddison Vaughn totaled a team-best 10 for Kean.

Rowan returns to action on Saturday with a conference contest at Ramapo starting at 3 p.m.
