Herlihy's Career-High 28 Points Helps Rowan Take Down DeSales, 68-52

GLASSBORO, NJ -- A career-high 28 points from Kate Herlihy helped pace Rowan over DeSales, 68-52, Saturday afternoon in Esbjornson Gymnasium.

Herlihy was 11-of-24 from the floor including a personal-best six three-pointers. She scored 17 of those points in the second half, including 11 in the third quarter to help turn a three-point lead at the half to a 51-40 score heading into the fourth.

Sabrina Araujo registered 12 points and Reagan Russo collected a career-best 13 rebounds to key the Profs to a 48-29 rebounding advantage. Herlihy, Araujo and Charlotte Carlies each added three assists in the win.

The Profs shot over 50% as a team in the second half as Rowan opened up a 45-40 lead late in the third netting the final six points of the stanza to take a double-figure lead into the final frame.

In the fourth quarter, Russo connected from downtown to cap a 9-0 run to give the home team a 66-50 edge with 3:26 to play.

Alexis Berger hit three of the team's six three's to finish with a team-high 13 points. Teammates Sammi White and Morgan Sterner added 10 points apiece.

Rowan continues NJAC play on Wednesday in a matchup at TCNJ starting at 5 p.m.
