    RIPON, Wis. - Ripon's men's basketball team defeated Lake Forest 75-68 Tuesday night to clinch a spot in the Midwest Conference Tournament for the eighth time in Head Coach Ryan Kane's nine non-COVID-shortened seasons with the Red Hawks. The win also marks Ripon's eighth consecutive 15-win season (not counting the COVID-19 shortened 2020-21 season).

    RIPON, Wis. - Ripon College men's basketball coach Ryan Kane entered Tuesday's game against #15 UW-La Crosse with four career wins against top 25 teams to his credit. He narrowly missed a fifth against the Eagles, falling 75-74 in overtime in a game that featured 13 ties and nine lead changes. UW-La Crosse turned the ball over just five times, while forcing 16 Ripon turnovers, which the Eagles turned into 20 points.

    RIPON, Wis. - Ripon's men's basketball team showed why they were voted first in this year's Midwest Conference preseason poll with a dominating 70-51 victory against Luther College Wednesday night in the Red Hawks' 2021-22 season opener. Also receiving votes in this year's D3hoops.com preseason Top 25 poll, Ripon led for the final 35 minutes thanks to shooting 48 percent (27-56) from the field, including 42 percent (8-19) from 3-point range.

    DE PERE, Wis. - For the second time in four years, Ripon's men's basketball team is headed to the NCAA Division-III Tournament. The Red Hawks defeated 18th-ranked and top seeded St. Norbert 84-71 Saturday afternoon in the Midwest Conference Tournament Championship Game to earn the MWC's automatic bid to next weekend's NCAA Tourney, which will be Ripon's 14th appearance all-time in the big dance. The win also extended Ripon's current winning streak to 11 games, which is tied for the fifth-longest streak in program history, while also giving them 20 victories on the season, which is tied for sixth in program history, and is the eighth time they have won at least 20 games in a season.

Ripon shot 55 percent (27-49) from the field, including 58 percent (11-19) from 3- point range, while holding Northern Michigan to 43 percent (31-72) shooting and 33 percent (10-30) from long-range.

    WHITEWATER, Wis. - Ripon defeated UW-Whitewater 71-70 Tuesday night in a game the Red Hawks controlled for most of the contest, only trailing for less than one minute of play. One key to the victory came at the free throw line where Ripon converted 80 percent (8-10) of their foul shots and UW-Whitewater made 63 percent (5-8) of their shots from the charity stripe.

With a 3-pointer in the second half of an 84-73 victory against Lawrence University, Schultz became the 31st player in program history to score 1,000 career points.

    RIPON, Wis. - All five Ripon starters scored in double-figures Tuesday night, en route to a 94-69 victory against conference-foe Cornell College. No one was bigger than freshman Ryan Steffes, who recorded a career-high 30 points on 9-of-13 shooting from 3-point range, which is tied for second in program history for single game 3-pointers. As a team, Ripon made 13 shots from behind the arc, which is tied for fifth in program history.
  • Ripon Completes Epic Comeback Win Against Grinnell

    RIPON, Wis. - In what was one of the greatest comebacks in Ripon College men's basketball history, the Red Hawks defeated Grinnell in a barnburner Saturday afternoon by a score of 111-109. Trailing by 13 points with under four minutes remaining, Ripon scored the game's final 15 points to steal the victory. In a game that featured nine ties and 10 lead changes, Ripon also scored 34 fast-break points, while outscoring Grinnell in the paint by a 66-36 margin.

    RIPON, Wis. - Ripon's men's basketball team shot 51 percent (32-63) from the field Saturday afternoon, including 44 percent (10-23) from 3-point range, en route to an 82-58 win against Illinois College, marking Head Coach Ryan Kane's 100th career victory. In his seventh season at the helm of the Red Hawks, Kane now holds a 100-52 career record (.658 winning pct.), making him the third-winningest coach in program history. The Red Hawks are also now 51-15 at home during Kane's tenure (.773), including 4-0 this season.

In a game that featured seven ties and 11 lead changes, the Red Hawks came out on top, narrowly winning 84-80 to earn their 18th consecutive win against the Prairie Fire. Both teams finished the game shooting 52 percent from the field and 46 percent from 3-point range.

    RIPON, Wis. - Ripon's men's basketball team defeated Wisconsin Lutheran 85-69 Saturday afternoon, as the Red Hawks erased a two-point halftime deficit with 55 second half points. The Red Hawks shot well in the first half, making 50 percent (11-22) of their shots, but turned it up several notches after halftime, converting 64 percent (18-28) of their shots in the second half, including 63 percent (10-16) from 3-point range. They finished the contest making 12 shots from 3-point range, which is tied for eighth in program history for a single game.

    RIPON, Wis. - Ripon's men's basketball team picked up its first victory of the season Saturday afternoon, defeating UW-La Crosse by a score of 61-57. That is Ripon's third win against a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletics Conference (WIAC) opponent in the last five years, including their second in a row. That is also the Red Hawks' first win against UW-La Crosse since the 2004-05 season, which is a span of five games.

The win gives Ripon a clean sweep against St. Norbert this season, defeating the Green Knights three times on the year, and giving them four wins against SNC in their last five meetings.

    RIPON, Wis. - Ripon erased a three-point halftime lead Saturday afternoon to defeat Knox College in convincing fashion by a score of 79-65. Ripon forced 15 Knox turnovers, which they turned into 26 points, all of which came in the second half. The win assures the Red Hawks of back-to-back seasons of at least 17 victories for the first time since accomplishing that feat 10 straight times from 1991-2000.

    RIPON, Wis. - After shooting 35 percent (14-40) in the first half Tuesday night, Ripon's men's basketball team came out white hot in the second half, shooting 60 percent (18-30) after halftime to coast to an 88-62 victory against Lawrence University. Ripon also dominated the boards all night, out-rebounding the Vikings 50-25, with 20 of their rebounds coming on the offensive end, helping them outscore Lawrence in second chance points by a 23-7 margin.
