Ripon Senior Cal Schultz Joins 1,000-Point Club

RIPON, Wis. - Playing in front of several all-time greats on Ripon's annual Alumni Basketball Day, Red Hawks Senior Cal Schultz made his own mark on the Ripon College men's basketball program Saturday afternoon. With a 3-pointer in the second half of an 84-73 victory against Lawrence University, Schultz became the 31st player in program history to score 1,000 career points.

A Business Management and Sports Management major from Muskego, Wis., Schultz is averaging a career-best 17.2 points per game this season, which leads the team. He is also averaging 6.2 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game, while shooting 47 percent from the field, 39 percent from 3-point range, and 74 percent from the free throw line. His 1.6 steals per game rank sixth in the Midwest Conference.
