RIPON, Wis. - With just over 11 minutes remaining in Saturday's 91-64 victory against Illinois College, Ripon senior guard Trent Jones became the 32nd player in program history to reach the 1,000-point plateau.

The Sport Management major from Dodgeville reached that important milestone on the first of two free throws, en route to a game-high 18 points. That puts Jones in 31st place in school history with 1,002 career points with 10 games left in the regular season.

In addition to his scoring output, Jones also recorded team-highs of seven rebounds, three assists, and two steals. He entered the weekend ranking fourth in the Midwest Conference in scoring with 19.7 points per game, while leading the league in steals (2.2 spg).

Jones has helped Ripon to a 9-6 record this season, including a 5-3 mark in the MWC, which is tied for the fourth and final spot in next month's MWC Tournament. The Red Hawks will be in action again on Tuesday when they'll host Beloit College at 5:30 p.m. at Willmore Center's Weiske Gymnasium.
