    ASHLAND, V.A. – The Oswego State Men's Basketball team traveled to Randolph-Macon College to take on the number one seeded Yellow Jackets. The Lakers marched into Crenshaw Stadium and knocked the Yellow Jackets out of tournament play. Your Oswego State Lakers are still dancing and have danced their way into the Elite 8 for the first time in school history!

    WILLIMANTIC, CT.  –  The Oswego State Men's Basketball team faced Eastern Connecticut State this afternoon on day 2 of the Tip-Off Tournament. The Warriors refused to back down from the Lakers, as they erased several double digit deficits on the afternoon. Oswego was able to stay resilient, taking the Eastern Connecticut Tip-Off Tournament Championship by a score of 60-50. With this win, Coach Jason Leone has become the winningest coach in Oswego State Basketball History. Leone passes Kevin Broderick who coached the Lakers from 1996 until 2009 with a 209-150 record. Leone now stands at the top of the record book with a very impressive 210-78 record in his twelfth year as the Lakers' Head Men's Basketball Coach.

    OSWEGO, N.Y. – The top-seeded Oswego State men's basketball team added another trophy to the case on Saturday afternoon as it outlasted No. 3 Brockport in the 2019 SUNYAC Championship title game. It is the fourth postseason conference crown the Lakers have won in the last eight seasons. With the victory, Oswego secures the SUNYAC's automatic berth to the NCAA Championship, which will be its sixth all-time appearance, coming all in the last nine years.

    OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State men's basketball team completed the regular-season sweep of Buffalo State on Saturday afternoon to remain perfect in conference competition. Oswego was powered by a career- and season-high 27 points from guard Liam Sanborn. The 16-2 start to the campaign is the best since the 1961-62 Lakers went 19-2 and won the SUNYAC Championship.

Plattsburgh came into the contest ranked 15th in the country and led by as many as 12 in the early goings before the Lakers stormed back for the victory.

    OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State men's basketball team jump started the 2018-19 season in grand fashion, thumping Elmira College in the opening round of the Max Ziel Tournament on Friday night. Oswego recorded 106 points in the tilt, the most since it posted 122 in a win over D'Youville College on this exact day in 2012.

  • Oswego State Clinches SUNYAC Regular Season Title & No. 1 Seed

    GENESEO, N.Y. – The Oswego State men’s basketball team defeated host Geneseo 80-75 on Friday evening and that – paired with a 79-74 loss by Brockport to Cortland – clinches the Lakers the SUNYAC regular season title. It is the program’s first regular-season championship since its perfect conference campaign in 2011-12. Oswego – which is receiving votes in the latest national D3hoops.com poll – now holds a 19-5 overall record and a 15-2 mark in the league.
