    ONEONTA, NY – Kyle Bradshaw (Tinton Falls, NJ/Manasquan) saved perhaps his best game for his last as he scorched visiting Elmira for a career-high 33 points on Senior Day at Lambros Arena Saturday in an 86-66 win for the Hawks over the Soaring Eagles.
  • Men’s Basketball Hangs on to Topple Alfred, 77-72

    ALFRED, NY – Hartwick led by as many as 15 points in the second half but needed to hold on late after a furious Alfred (10-14, 4-9 E8) rally in a 77-72 victory for the Hawks. The win ups the Hawks’ season mark to 13-11 and their E8 record to 5-8. They complete a weekend sweep and take the season series with the Saxons with the victory.

    ONEONTA, NY – Hartwick’s men’s basketball team nearly came away with a victory against one of the top teams in the Empire 8 Conference for the second straight day, but in the end, the Hawks would come up short. ’Wick led by as many as 11 in the first half and held the advantage with just over five minutes to play in the game, but visiting Nazareth out-scored the Hawks 20-10 to close the game to hand them the 81-72 loss.
  • St. John Fisher Outlasts Hartwick in 74-67 Battle

    ONEONTA, NY – Hartwick’s men’s basketball team gave first-place St. John Fisher everything it could handle Saturday as the Cardinals held onto the lead for the final five and a half minutes and shook off a late charge from the Hawks in a 74-67 Empire 8 Conference victory at Lambros Arena.

    ALBANY, NY – A tough spell in the second half cost the Hartwick men’s basketball team in a 73-63 loss on the road at The Sage Colleges (11-9, 4-5 E8) on Saturday at Kahl Gymnasium. The Hawks (11-9, 3-6 E8) led by two at halftime but the host Gators out-scored them 41-29 in the second half to score the win.
  • Utica Pulls Away Late to Knock Off ’Wick 77-65

    UTICA, NY – Visiting Hartwick battled back from as many as 13 points down to even the score in the second half on Tuesday night at Utica College, but the host Pioneers grabbed the lead with under nine minutes left and never relinquished it in a tightly contested 77-65 Empire 8 game at Clark Gymnasium.

    ROCHESTER, NY – Hartwick men’s basketball battled back from a 13-point second-half deficit to tie the game at 74 with less than a minute and a half to play, but the host Nazareth Golden Flyers scored six of the last eight points in the final minute to escape Kidera Gymnasium with an 80-76 win over the Hawks on Friday night in Rochester.

    ONEONTA, NY – Eleven different Hawks made it into the scoring column and seven players had at least nine points on Saturday as the Hartwick men’s basketball team defeated Houghton 87-63 at Lambros Arena in an Empire 8 contest. The Hawks have now won three straight games and improve to 11-5 overall and 3-2 in league play.

    ONEONTA, NY – Hartwick (10-5, 2-2 E8) took out defending Empire 8 champion Alfred (7-7, 1-2 E8) on Friday night as the Hawks grabbed the advantage after six and a half minutes and held onto it for the final 33 in a 70-61 triumph. The victory is Hartwick’s 10th of the season and the team gets back to .500 in the Empire 8 at 2-2. It also stops a four-game winless streak for the Hawks against the Saxons.
  • Hartwick Drains 19 Three-Pointers in Lopsided Win Over Pine Manor

    It was bombs away for the Hartwick men’s basketball team as the Hawks tied a program record with 49 three-point attempts and they hit a season-high 19 from the outside in an 84-57 rout of visiting Pine Manor College on Wednesday night at Lambros Arena. The Hawks get their ninth win (9-5) in their final non-conference game of the season. The Gators fall to 3-14 overall.
  • Tough Second Half Dooms Hawks in 85-75 Loss to Utica

    ONEONTA, NY – Hartwick’s men’s basketball shot a blistering 63% from the field in the opening half as it led by as many as 17 points against the visiting Utica College Pioneers, but they struggled in the second half and saw their lead quickly evaporate in an eventual 85-75 loss Saturday at Lambros Arena.

  • Hawks Top Delhi 76-68 to Start 2020 With a Victory

    DELHI, NY – Junior Pat Garey (Johnson City, NY/Johnson City) and sophomore Bobby Connors (Rockville Centre, NY/Chaminade) combined for 41 points, 19 rebounds, five assists, and four steals Thursday night as Hartwick held off SUNY Delhi 76-68 at Floyd A. Maines Arena. The victory is the first for the Hawks in the New Year and ups their season mark to 7-3.
  • Hartwick Erases 10-Point Deficit to Topple Morrisville State 67-58

    MORRISVILLE, NY – Despite leading for less than eight minutes in the game, Hartwick’s men’s basketball team battled back from a 10-point second-half deficit to defeat host Morrisville State 67-58 on Saturday at STUAC Gymnasium. Pat Garey (Johnson City, NY/Johnson City) drained his fourth three-pointer of the game with 1:34 remaining to break a 58-all tie and put the Hawks ahead for good. The three would mark the start of a 9-0 run to end the game for ’Wick.
  • Hawks Battle With Hamilton; Fall in the Late Stages 91-81

    Host Hartwick gave unbeaten Hamilton College all it could handle Wednesday night despite falling by a final score of 91-81. The Hawks, who trailed by as many as 15 points in the second half, fought their way back to tie the score four times late in the contest before the Continentals used a 13-2 run to pull away in the final three minutes.
  • Second-Half Shooting Woes Sink Hawks at Mount St. Mary

    NEWBURGH, NY – After shooting 52% from the floor and leading by as many as eight points in the first half, the Hawks’ shooting cooled off in the second as they connected on just 24% of their shots, including a 3-of-17 (18%) showing from three-point range, as host Mount St. Mary outscored them 40-27 to earn a 67-60 victory in Newburgh.
