    Amber Fabeck stepped outside and scored a career-high 24 points to lead UW-Stout to a 78-68 win over UW-Whitewater, Wednesday, on Dewey Mintz Court in Johnson Fieldhouse. Fabeck, a Blue Devils 6-3 post player, drained three consecutive 3-point attempts in the first half to help Stout to a 39-35 halftime lead with 15 first half points. Fabeck hit another trey in the second half, knocking down 4 of 6 attempts from beyond the arc.

Bailey Diersen scored 21 and Kyncaide Diedrich 20. Shannan Watkins and Liz Oswald each scored seven points in the decisive fourth quarter.

    UW-Stout extended their season-opening winning streak to 10 games with a 78-66 win over the College of St. Scholastica in the first game of the UW-Superior Holiday Shootout Classic Saturday.
  • Stout uses big second half to go past Ripon, now 9-0 to start season

    For only the second time this season, UW-Stout trailed at halftime, but the Blue Devils exploded out of the locker room and went on to a 66-55 win over Ripon College Tuesday on Dewey Mintz Court in Johnson Fieldhouse. The Blue Devils outscored the Red Hawks, 23-9, in the third period, and took their first lead of the game with about two minutes remaining in the third period and built as much as a 20 point lead late in the game. Stout moves to 9-0 for the first time since the 1995-96 season.

  • Overcoming slow start, Stout downs Berea to win sixth straight

    UW-Stout overcame a slow start and went on to win their sixth straight contest to open the season with a 64-59 victory over Berea College in the championship game of the North Park University Tournament Sunday. Kyncaide Diedrich was named the tournament MVP and Amber Fabeck joined Diedrich on the all-tournament team.

    Amber Fabeck scored a double-double, Kyncaide Diedrich scored a team-high 21 points and UW-Stout fought off a second half rally by Albion College to take a 70-62 win Saturday to run their season record to 5-0 at the North Park University Tournament.

    UW-Stout made a run at UW-Whitewater, taking a two-point lead in the fourth quarter against the 19th-ranked Warhawks, but Whitewater regained control to hand the Blue Devils a 76-67 defeat Saturday at Johnson Fieldhouse.

    UW-Stout struck first, but 14th-ranked UW-Oshkosh quickly answered with a strong first quarter and went on to a 67-57 win over the Blue Devils Wednesday at Johnson Fieldhouse. Bailey Diersen led Stout with 10 points. The Titans Eliza Campbell scored her 1000th career point.
  • Platteville uses fourth quarter push to down Stout

    UW-Platteville's 6-4 center Allison Prestegaard scored 27 points and had 13 rebounds, while UW-Stout's 5-5 guard Kyncaide Diedrich scored a career-best 23 points and had eight rebounds. But the Pioneers outscored the Blue Devils 28-18 in the fourth quarter to take an 83-75 conference-opening win Wednesday in Platteville.
  • Blue Devils down Occidental with defensive effort

    UW-Stout trailed after the first period, turned up the defensive pressure in the second and third periods to take the lead, then had to hold off Occidental College in the final minutes in a 60-54 win Saturday at South Point Arena in the D3Hoops.com Classic. Bailey Diersen led all scorers with 14 points. Kyncaide Diedrich contributed 12 points, seven rebounds, three assists and six steals.
  • Blue Devil come up short to sixth-ranked Trine
    December 28, 2017
    UW-Stout took a brief lead over sixth-ranked Trine University to start the fourth quarter, but the Thunder recaptured the lead and went on to a 52-46 win at the D3Hoops.com Classic at South Point Arena Thursday. The Blue Devils rebounded from a five point, 23-18, halftime deficit to outscore Trine 13-9 in the third stanza and trailed 32-31 heading into the final period. Amber Fabeck hit a 3-pointer to give Stout a 34-32 lead. Trine outscored Stout 20-15 in the final quarter and held as much as a 12 point lead.
