    CHICAGO - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's basketball team outlasted the University of Chicago in overtime Tuesday night, Dec. 20, in non-conference action at the Ratner Athletic Center. The Titans (6-4) downed the Maroons (7-4), 67-63, as IWU's Ron Rose secured career win No. 300.

    BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - A buzzer-beating three-pointer was off the mark as the Illinois Wesleyan University men's basketball team held on for an 87-85 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin win over North Central College Saturday night, Dec. 10, inside the Shirk Center. With the win, the Titans remain perfect in CCIW play at 3-0 (5-3 overall). NCC moved to 4-5 on the year and 1-2 in league play.

    Opening night in the WIAC brought road victories for No. 4 UW-La Crosse and No. 15 UW-Oshkosh while Illinois Wesleyan started CCIW play with a win at No. 11 Elmhurst. On the women's side, No. 1 Hope fended off archrival No. 15 Calvin and UW-Platteville rolled at No. 19 UW-Oshkosh.

The Titans notched their 20th win of the season and boosted their league record to 13-2 with the victory.

    BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's basketball team claimed the inaugural Sikma Hall of Fame Invitational Championship with a 65-63 win over 17th-ranked University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Saturday night, Nov. 13. Senior Cory Noe (Mahomet, Ill.-Mahomet-Seymour) was named the tournament Most Valuable Player, while senior Matthew Leritz (St. Louis, Mo.-St. Louis University HS) also earned a spot on the all-tournament team.

    The Illinois Wesleyan University men's basketball team won the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Tournament Championship for the first time in program history Friday night, March 12, with a 71-58 victory over top-seeded and third-ranked Wheaton College on the Thunder's home court. With the win, the Titans finish the season 8-1 overall, while the Thunder end with a 12-1 mark.
