Women's
Keauna Whitfield
Whitfield, who leads the American Southwest Conference in scoring, averaged 20 points, 12 rebounds, and four assists over the holiday period. That included a 21-point, 14-rebound, four-assist and two-steal performance at Trinity (Texas).
Joey Meyers
Lauren Fortescue
Fortescue turned in a career performance in the Sea Gulls' overtime victory over William Smith on Dec. 20, netting a career-high 27 points on 9-of-17 shooting. Fortescue also contributed seven steals, including clutch swipes at the end of regulation and overtime. She averaged 20 points, four rebounds, and four assists per game over the holiday period, shooting 54% from the floor and 44% from three.
Payton Moore
Moore posted averages of 20 points, 12 rebounds, and four blocks over two games. She had 18 points, 13 rebounds, and five blocks against Hanover, then followed it up with 21 points, 11 boards, and three blocks against Bluffton. She shot 53% from the field.
Cierra Joiner
Joiner led Ohio Wesleyan through four dominant wins over the holiday period. She averaged 16 points, eight rebounds, and two assists per game, but always seemed to be in the thick of the action during the team's biggest scoring runs.
Men's
Peter Lambesis
Lambesis shot 57%, with 15 points, three rebounds, and four assists per game over the last three contests, but made his mark, as usual, on the defensive end. He held North Central's Matt Helwig to 13 points and Yeshiva's Ryan Turell to 22 (both with 29 point-per-game averages on the year) in big wins for IWU.
Alex Masinelli
Masinelli averaged 25 points over a four-game stretch and erupted for a career-high 43 points against Lynchburg en route to being named the MVP at the E.M. "Mose" Hole/Wooster Kiwanis Tournament. He added seven rebounds and six assists per game over the same span, shooting 49% from the floor, 50% from three, and 82% from the free throw line.
Raheem Anthony
Anthony averaged 16 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists over two games at the D3hoops.com Classic in Las Vegas. He shot 45% from the floor, managed two steals and one block per game, but most impressively he led the St. Mary's team on the floor while surrendering just one turnover total on the week.
Kasey Draper
Matthew Schner
Schner continued to dominate across statistical categories as Emory defeated three tough opponents: UW-Whitewater, Birmingham-Southern, and Oglethorpe. Schner averaged 25 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists per game, shooting 58% from the floor - including a career-high 30 points against Whitewater.
