Women's

Elena Rauhe

Rauhe helped the Purple Raiders complete the sweep of Otterbein. In the first game she scored 18 points with six rebounds and six assists in a 86-76 win, while in the second game she hit five 3-pters on her way to a 28 point night with six rebounds and three steals in a 79-73 win. On the week, Rauhe averaged 23 points, six rebounds, and five assists with only two total turnovers and five total steals.

Sekya Campbell

Campbell opened the season with a monster double-double of 23 points and 19 rebounds in a 76-71 victory at Catholic. She shot 8-for-13 from the field and 7-for-7 at the foul line while 10 of her boards came on the offensive glass. Campbell helped ice her team's win with two clutch baskets in the final 1:35, along with a big defensive rebound and an ensuing pair of free throws that set the final score with 16 seconds remaining.

Kendall Sosa

Sosa averaged 24 points, four assists, three rebounds, three steals, and a block per contest in a two-game week. She dropped a game-high 32 points in IWU's season opener versus Millikin, hitting 7-of-17 shots, including three 3-pointers, and went 15-for-17 at the free throw line. Sosa finished out the week with 16 points, four assists, four steals, three rebounds, and a block in a well-balanced IWU win at North Central on Feb. 6.

Abby Oguich

Oguich claimed ODAC player of the week honors after two massive double-double performances. She scored 13 with 15 rebounds in a 63-58 win over Shenandoah, followed by 26 points (on 10-12 shooting) with 11 rebounds in a 57-49 victory at Ferrum. On the week, Oguich averaged 20 points and 13 boards, with 61% FG shooting.

Shannon Devitt

Devitt averaged 22 points, 11 rebounds, and seven blocks per game in a 2-0 weekend for the Lions. In the second win over Stockton, Devitt was a block shy of a triple double, scoring 32 points, with 12 rebounds, and nine blocked shots. She shot 10-of-14 from the field and a perfect 12-of-12 from the free throw line. In the first win over Stockton, Devitt scored 12 points, tallied nine rebounds, and blocked five shots. 

Men's

Keondre Schumacher

Schumacher led all scorers with 23 points as No. 4 Illinois Wesleyan overpowered No. 9 North Central on Saturday. Schumacher shot 8-for-10 from the field and an impressive 7-for-8 from 3-point range. He added a rebound, three assists, and a steal in the win.

Taren Hall

Hall set a career-high point total against Carthage with 27 points on a career-high six 3-pointers made. He followed that up with a 26 point, 13 rebound game against North Park, his first career double-double and a new career-high for rebounds. Hall shot 67% on the week, including 12-for-18 from 3-point range, and played 37 minutes per game.

Damon McDowell

McDowell broke 30 twice in a 3-0 week for North Carolina Wesleyan. He averaged 29 points, three rebounds, three assists, and two steals, shooting 50% from three. The highlight of the week was a monster performance to seal the second win against William Peace. McDowell scored 33, including the game-winner in the final second, on 14-of-23 shooting to secure an 82-81 win.

Shemar Bennett

Bennett scored 19 points and pulled down 13 rebounds in a 68-66 nailbiter win against Geneva. 15 of those 19 points and eight of 13 rebounds came in the second half, but Bennett's biggest contribution was his third block of the game, which prevented the go-ahead basket with just seven seconds remaining. He shot 9-for-11 from the field in the game.

Travis Jocelyn

Jocelyn averaged 32 points and 10 rebounds per game in a 2-0 opening weekend for the Lions. In the second win over Stockton, Jocelyn exploded for a career-high 43 points. He shot 12-of-24 from the field, 7-of-14 from 3-point range, and 12-of-13 from the free throw line. He also recorded 11 rebounds and two steals in that game. In the first game against Stockton, Jocelyn scored 20 points, grabbed nine rebounds, and three steals. On the weekend, Jocelyn shot 10-of-24 from 3-point range for a 42% clip.
