Women's
Kelsey Campbell
Campbell had a triple-double with 10 points, 11 assists and 15
rebounds in a 69-37 win against Kalamazoo. She also had a
conference-record 16 assists against Alma, averaging 13.5 assists
for the week.
Emily Savino
Savino led the Golden Bears to a 3-0 week, averaging 20.7 points,
3.3 assists and 7.3 rebounds while playing all but four minutes
over three games. She shot 47.4 percent from the field and made
9-of-14 3-pointers for an eye-popping 64.3 percent. She made the
game-winning layup with 13 seconds left against Salve Regina, as
WNE avenged a 22-point loss to the Seahawks, and then she pumped in
a season-high 25 points at Wentworth.
Beth Switzler
Switzler has put together 10 consecutive games in which she has
shot 50 percent or better from the field. She scored a career-high
23 points at Heidelberg, including back-to-back 20-point scoring
efforts for the first time in her career as well as first career
back-to-back double-doubles. She averaged 21.5 points and 11.0
rebounds in a 2-0 week.
Kate McDonald
McDonald led her team to upset of No. 19 Moravian with a
career-high 34 points having spent 37 minutes on the court. She
averaged a double-double with 23 points and 11 rebounds.
McDonald shot over 60 percent from the floor in win over Moravian
and also had five assists, four steals and two blocks for the
week.
Colleen Moriarty
Moriarty averaged 28.0 points and 9.3 rebounds per game, to help
Mass-Dartmouth post a 2-1 record. She connected on 62.7 percent
(32-for-51) on her attempts from the field to score at least 23
points in each contest. Moriarty led the Corsairs to a win at Mount
Ida with 30 points and 10 rebounds. On Saturday, she accounted for
64.5 percent of Mass-Dartmouth's offensive production at Western
Connecticut with a season-best 31 points. Moriarty also pulled in
12 rebounds.
Men's
Logan Wolfrum
Wolfrum joined the 1,700-point club, netted his third 40-point
performance and sank a game-winner with no time left on the clock
last week, while leading the Jackets to road wins over Manchester
and Mount St. Joseph. He averaged 29.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.5
assists and 1.0 steals per game in the two victories and connected
at 72.4 percent from the floor and 75.0 (12-16) percent from beyond
the arc. Wolfrum started his week with a season-high 40 points, to
go with six rebounds and six assists in a 78-77 win at Manchester
on Wednesday. He sank eight 3-point shots on the night and caught
fire down the stretch, scoring 19 of DC's final 21 to help the
Jackets overcome a 10-point deficit in the final 9:30. Wolfrum
stayed hot on Saturday, drilling four more attempts from long
distance and ending with 18 points in the 77-63 win for Defiance at
MSJ.
Darius Watson
Watson averaged 27 points per game on the Falcons' 2-1 week as he
shot 62.3% from the field. He was 36.4% from behind the arc and
78.6% from the free-throw line. He also added 6.3 rebounds per
game. Watson scored 30 points in back-to-back games before tallying
21 for the Falcons in their final game of the week. He was 13-of-19
from the floor at Suffolk for a 68.4% shooting performance in a
92-91 loss.
Keven Donahue
Donohue scored a career high 37 points as Union improved to 17-3
overall and 9-2 in the Liberty League with a 72-55 home win over
RIT. Donohue, who had 21 points and was seven of eight from the
floor in the first half, made 13 of 18 shots and also had a season
best five blocks with three steals and four rebounds. It was
Donohue's second 30-point game this season and eighth game with 20
or more points.
Kavon Baker
Baker helped lead BC to a 3-0 week with wins over York, Medgar
Evers and Lehman. He started all three games, averaging 23.7
points, 3.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.7 steals per game, while
logging in 38.3 minutes per game. Baker also shot 58.3% (21-for-36)
from the field, 45.5% (5-for-11) from 3-point land and 77.4%
(24-for-31) from the line. Baker scored a game and week-high 28
points to erase a 16-point first half deficit and propel Brooklyn
to a come-back win over Medgar Evers.
Kyle Schleigh
Schleigh averaged 23 points and 9.5 rebounds in a pair of key
conference road games. He extended his 20-point streak to seven
games as UTD upended then-ASC East-leading Texas-Tyler, 63-54, and
then held off East Texas Baptist, 75-69. He had 24 points and 9
rebounds in game at Tyler and then recorded his 10th
"double-double" of the season Saturday with 22 points and 10
rebounds at ETBU.
