    The Wartburg Knights guaranteed that Division III will have a new national champion by knocking Hope out of the Tournament, while Rhode Island College ended No. 3 Scranton’s perfect season in the second round of the 2023 NCAA Division III women’s basketball tournament. Elsewhere, No. 4 Smith survived and No. 5 Trinity (Texas) beat No. 12 Hardin-Simmons for the third time this season.

    Albertus Magnus upset No. 1 St. Joseph (Conn.) and sent the last undefeated team in Division III men’s hoops into the NCAA Tournament with a loss. Meanwhile, Schreiner completed its Cinderella run, Sewanee stunned Berry, and everything went according to form on the women’s side.

That last unbeaten team is Transylvania which survived a late push at home, and UW-Oshkosh is the last unranked team dancing after its win over No. 10 Baldwin Wallace.

    St. Mary's (Minn.) pulled off one of the most unexpected upsets of the season in a wire-to-wire win over unbeaten Bethel. Elsewhere No. 17 Scranton and Haverford pulled themselves into first place ties and No. 14 Trinity took control of the SCAC.
