News Releases

January 3, 2026 Cooper Cooks, Porter and Wainaina Dominate Inside as Owls Roll KEENE, N.H. – You could make a case the Keene State College home crowd at Spaulding Gymnasium had not yet experienced an explosive performance from junior transfer Jordan Cooper, with three of his four highest-scoring efforts – all above 20 points – coming away from home.  They have now.  The North Carolina native poured in 27 points and made 10-of-19 from the field, putting an exclamation mark on his effort with a thunderous dunk with just under 10 minutes to go to give the Owls a 20-point lead as KSC rolled along to a 96-75 Little East Conference win over the University of Southern Maine Saturday at Spaulding Gymnasium.
December 13, 2025 Happy Holidays! Cooper, Owls Pound Hamilton 80-60 CLINTON, N.Y. – Jordan Cooper can only hope in 12 days his gift bags are as stuffed as his stat line was Saturday in the Keene State College men's basketball team's final game before an 18-day holiday break.  The junior transfer and North Carolina native finished with 27 points on 10-of-20 shooting, 4-of-8 from deep, eight rebounds, five assists, and three steals while accumulating a plus-20 rating in just less than 29 minutes to help the Owls crush Hamilton College 80-60 at the Margaret Bundy Scott Field House.
December 6, 2025 Men’s Basketball Stunned by UMass-Boston at Home KEENE, N.H. – Sophomore Raphel Laurent scored a game-high 25 points on 9-of-13 shooting including 4-of-6 from three-point range as the University of Massachusetts-Boston led for nearly 30 of the 40 minutes in a stunning 74-69 victory over the Keene State College men's basketball team in Little East Conference action at Spaulding Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon.
December 3, 2025 Shettles, Owls Make it Rain (Snow?) Early, Win Easily CASTLETON, Vt. – Mitch Shettles was a perfect 4-for-4 shooting from three-point range in the first half to help the Keene State College men’s basketball team build a 25-point halftime lead and the Owls were never remotely threatened, waltzing to an 87-65 road victory over Vermont State University Castleton in both teams’ Little East Conference opener Wednesday night at Glenbrook Gymnasium.
November 22, 2025 What a Difference One Weekend Can Make: Owls Grind Out Upset of No. 19 WPI KEENE, N.H. – It is always interesting what can transpire in weekend tournaments in early season college basketball across all three divisions.  Back-to-backs, short preparation, and close games provide all kinds of challenges for teams and coaching staffs, especially those getting used to each other - of which the Keene State College men's basketball team is.  Chalk this one up as a big success for the Owls, who began washing away an 0-3 start by going 2-0, including a 66-62 upset of nationally-No. 19 ranked Worcester Polytechnic Institute on Saturday afternoon at Spaulding Gymnasium.
March 20, 2025 Octavio Brito: The NABC National Player of the Year KANSAS CITY, Mo.--For the first time in the college's Division III era, Keene State has a national player of the year.
