The North Carolina native poured in 27 points and made 10-of-19 from the field, putting an exclamation mark on his effort with a thunderous dunk with just under 10 minutes to go to give the Owls a 20-point lead as KSC rolled along to a 96-75 Little East Conference win over the University of Southern Maine Saturday at Spaulding Gymnasium.

The junior transfer and North Carolina native finished with 27 points on 10-of-20 shooting, 4-of-8 from deep, eight rebounds, five assists, and three steals while accumulating a plus-20 rating in just less than 29 minutes to help the Owls crush Hamilton College 80-60 at the Margaret Bundy Scott Field House.

March 19, 2025KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) has announced the 2024-2025 NABC Division III All-District Teams and District Coaches of the Year today and for the third year in a row, Octavio Brito of the Keene State College men's basketball has earned district honors, as he was not only named to the District 2 First Team, but he was also named the District 2 Player of the Year. Along with the NCBA honors, D3hoops.com announced their All-Region teams as well, which also saw Brito be selected to the First Team All-Region 2 for the third time, to go with his selection as the All-Region 2 Player of the Year. The All-Region teams are nominated by the Sports Information Directors at the various schools, and then were voted on by SIDs on a predetermined number of players in their region.
