UW-Oshkosh and Albion created three-way ties for first place atop the WIAC and MIAA standings by beating No. 17 UW-Eau Claire and No. 12 Trine on Wednesday night. Elsewhere, No. 1 Trinity (Texas) opened a tough week with a road win at Schreiner and Kean stayed one game in front of the NJAC pack.

Wayne, N.J. (1/18/23) – Senior Shannon McCoy poured in a career high 41 points, while tying a single game record with 10 treys as the Kean University women’s basketball team defeated host William Paterson University, 85-70, Wednesday night in NJAC action.

Payce Lange becomes the second player from Kean to be named the Atlantic Region Player of the Year while Demetrius Poles of Rowan is Coach of the Year and the Rookie of the Year is split between Reilly Boehm of CCNY and Nickie Carter of Montclair State.
On a night when most ranked teams won playoff games by comfortable margins, there were still a few surprises. The lower seeds won in the NEWMAC and NJAC tournaments and Ohio Northern won again in the OAC.
Saturday brought the end of the regular season for much of Division III and the start of the postseason for a few conferences. Kean ensured the NJAC will have a new champion and Texas-Dallas ended the regular season on a very high note.

Union, N.J. (1/21/17) – Sophomore Marajiah Bacon netted her 1,000th career point in helping the Kean University women’s basketball team to a 71-65 win over The College of New Jersey in NJAC action on Saturday.
It's been a while since the Kean women have made noise nationally, but the Cougars will have a chance to do so tomorrow night. They travel to Montclair State with hopes of taking over first place in the NJAC. Sarah Sommer has more in Around the Atlantic.

Union, N.J. (2/22/14) – The Kean University women’s basketball team stormed to a second half dominance to pull away from Richard Stockton College, 79-53, Saturday evening in NJAC First Round action.
Galloway, N.J. (2/10/14) – Rookie Jaquetta Owens hit the game-winning bucket with just seconds on the clock as the Kean University women’s basketball team battled back from a double-digit deficit to top Richard Stockton College, 81-79.
UNION, N.J. (1/25/14) – The Kean University women's basketball team overcame a 23-point second half deficit to stun The College of New Jersey 75-65 in overtime on Saturday. The Cougars used a 30-6 run to complete their epic comeback and move to 10-7 on the year and 7-3 in the NJAC. The Lions are now 11-6 and 8-3 in the conference.
That's where George Fox's winning streak finished when the Missionaries beat the Bruins on Saturday night. Kean turned back the clock against Montclair State and the top of the MIAC standings got even more crowded.
Union, N.J. (11/26/13) – Junior Stephanie Carlone netted a game-high 22 points as she led the Kean University women’s basketball team past visiting Ramapo College by the final of 88-54 Tuesday evening in NJAC action.
UNION, N.J. (2/11/13) – Erika Jones led the Kean University women’s basketball team with 12 points on her senior night but the Cougars could not overtake No. 5 Montclair State University in a 71-42 NJAC game on Monday night. Jones and fellow senior Kyanne Sager were honored in a pregame ceremony by the Kean athletic department.
