May 3, 2022 Sanborn steps down at Ferrum After five years as head men's basketball coach at Ferrum, D3hoops.com All-American Tyler Sanborn is stepping down to pursue a job outside of coaching.
December 15, 2018 Saturday: TMU, Tommies too much The Thomas More women handled Hope at DeVos Fieldhouse and the St. Thomas men pulled away from UW-Stevens Point in St. Paul. Elsewhere IWU's skid reached three games and Ferrum won its first game as an ODAC member.
December 14, 2017 Wednesday: 38 special for Tommies No. 11 St. Thomas showed its still the team to beat in the MIAC by beating No. 12 Gustavus Adolphus for the Tommies' 38th straight conference victory. Elsewhere York (Pa.) split its big double-header and the Ferrum men beat Averett in a thriller.
July 3, 2017 ODAC All-American to lead Ferrum men Shortly after announcing its upcoming move to the ODAC, Ferrum announced that one of the ODAC's best players in recent history will be its new head men's basketball coach. Tyler Sanborn, who was a two-time All-American for Guilford, was announced as the choice this week.
June 27, 2017 ODAC adds Ferrum The Old Dominion Athletic Conference needed a new member to keep its AQ in football and found one that will join the Conference in all sports. Ferrum will move from the USA South Athletic Conference in 2018-19.
April 20, 2017 Ferr-enough: Tharp steps down After 12 seasons as Ferrum's head coach, Bill Tharp has decided not to return to the Panthers' sideline next season. He leaves as the program's all-time leader for coaching victories since it moved to Division III in 1985.
