November 10, 2024 Saturday recap: Opening strong UW-Eau Claire opened its new arena with a win over No. 14 Nebraska Wesleyan while No. 16 Illinois Wesleyan finished an impressive weekend at home by blasting No. 2 UW-Platteville. Elsewhere, the Averett men shot the lights out and the Redlands women ended No. 17 Transylvania's long regular season winning streak.
March 12, 2018 D3hoops.com 2018 men's All-South Region team The South Region Player of the Year award goes to James Contreras, Jr. of Averett while Sul Ross State's Clif Carroll takes home Coach of the Year and University of Dallas phenom Spencer Levi is Rookie of the Year.
December 20, 2017 ATR: Contreras leads young Cougars Averett is experiencing the ups and downs that come with a young, talented team. December 6, 2017 Wednesday: Bringing their A game Averett continued its impressive start by knocking off another ODAC foe and Augustana opened conference play with a win over North Central. Elsewhere Transylvania trounced No. 5 Hanover and the St. Thomas women held off Bethel.
