Ripon's Ty Sabin Selected To D3hoops.com All-America Second Team
March 21, 2016RIPON, Wis. - Ripon's men's basketball season has been over for three weeks, but the awards continue to roll in for junior guard Ty Sabin. His latest honor comes via D3hoops.com, which named him to their All-America second team, one year after he was selected as an Honorable Mention. An Exercise Science major from New Berlin, Wis., Sabin is the only player from the Midwest Conference to make any of the five D3hoops.com All-America teams and is the first player in the 117-year history of the Ripon College men's basketball program to earn All-America honors in more than one season. His selection marks the fifth time in the last six years that Ripon has placed a player on the All-America Team and his Second Team selection is tied for the highest in school history (Scott Gillespie). -
