Women's
Jazmyn Robinson
Robinson averaged 18.3 points, 9.0 assists and 7.3 rebounds as
Keystone rolled to a 3-0 week. She shot 58 percent from the floor
(22-for-38), 3-for-10 from 3-point range and 8-for-11 from the foul
line.
Meredith Kelly
Kelly scored 30 or more points in all three of the Bobcats' wins
in a 3-1 week, averaging 31.8 points while shooting 56.5 percent
from the field and .786 from the free-throw line. Kelly also posted
8.5 rebounds, 3.8 steals and 2.0 assists per game on the week.
Kelly scored 12 of her 30 points in overtime as Bates won 80-75 at
Colby, adding in 11 rebounds and six steals. She wrapped up the
week with a Bates-record 42 points in a 104-83 win over
Maine-Augusta, also setting team records for field goals (18) and
points in a half (25).
Melissa Spahar
Spahar matched a career-high with a game-high 32 points (on
15-for-22 shooting from the field) in an 82-64 win over Mount
Union. She averaged 29.0 points and 9.0 rebounds in a 2-0 week.
Olivia Murphy
Murphy averaged 30.0 points and 12.0 rebounds per game, shooting
62 percent from the floor for the Beacons. She scored 20 points and
had 10 rebounds in the first half of a win vs. Mount Ida before
finishing with 33 and 12. In a conference game vs. Keene State,
Murphy shot 55 percent from the field and finished with 27 points
and 12 rebounds. She closed out the victory with a huge block to
cap off a three-block performance.
Stefaine Lang
Lang posted her sixth straight double-double in the Comets' only
game last week, an 82-75 win over North Park. She scored 23 points
and grabbed 21 rebounds (10 offensive and 11 defensive).
Men's
Jeremy Hays
Hays recorded a double-double in each of Juniata's wins in a 2-0
week. He had 10 assists and a team-high 17 points in the the Eagles
win over Carnegie Mellon, assisting on the game-winning buzzer
beater three by Kevin Stapleton. He also had a game-high 11 assists
and added 12 points against Moravian for Juniata's first Landmark
victory of the year.
Jack Taylor
Taylor netted a game-high 41 points in a 122-92 victory over
Monmouth with the aid of seven 3-pointers and 14-of-18 free throw
shooting. He also had a game-high three steals. Taylor picked
for a game-high 40 points, hitting 8-of-16 shots from 3-point
land, as the Pioneers nearly toppled nationally ranked St. Norbert
in a 121-115 overtime loss Saturday. He averaged 40.5 points in
19.0 minutes per game in the two conference outings.
Bailey Howard
Howard averaged 29 points in leading Franklin to a pair of road
conference victories. He scored 45 points and tied the single-game
school record for 3-point field goal percentage by making all seven
three pointers against Bluffton. Howard shot 72.7 percent from
behind the arc for the week by making 8 of 11 shots. He scored
seven of his 13 points in the final five minutes in a key win at
Hanover.
Justin Mitchell
Mitchell averaged 31.0 points and 9.0 rebounds in a pair of SUNYAC
wins. The senior had a double-double with 27 points and 12 boards
in an 89-68 win over Oneonta on Friday, and then scored a
career-best 35 points in a 109-99 win over New Paltz on Saturday.
He shot 73 percent from the field and also had six blocks in the
two games.
Evan Kupferberg
Kupferberg set three career-highs with 22 points, 17 rebounds, and
four blocks in a 77-67 win vs. Merchant Marine and added 20 points
and 12 rebounds in a 64-61 win over York (N.Y.).
