Men's
Shawn Greenfield
Greenfield drained 30 points in a win over Franciscan, shooting at
68.8% from the floor, 60% from behind the arc, and 100% from the
line.He followed with 35 points in a win vs. D'Youville, narrowly
missing a triple-double with 10 rebounds and 7 assists. On the
week, Greenfield averaged 32.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists,
and 3.0 steals.
Jonathan Blount
Blount averaged 44.5 points in two games for Centenary (La.),
shooting 27-for-46 from the floor, 6-for-15 from beyond the arc and
29-for-33 from the line. He scored 53 in a win against Open Bible,
but followed it up with an arguably more impressive 36 points in a
94-84 win vs. Austin College.
Ryan Tana
Tana led all scorers in both games this past weekend, including a
career-best 31 points in Friday's loss to Emory. In addition, he
was 6-for-8 from beyond the arc against the Eagles, and a perfect
5-of-5 from three en route to 26 points in Sunday's win over
Rochester. Overall, Tana shot 11-of-13 (84.6 percent) from long
range. He was also a perfect 4-of-4 from the foul line, and was
20-of-36 from the field for the weekend.
Kyle Schleigh
Schleigh averaged 30.0 points and 8.5 rebounds per game while
shooting 60% from the field as the No. 17-ranked Comets closed the
regular season with a 1-1 week. Schleigh opened with a 27-point,
eight-rebound performance in a 94-72 win at Concordia (Texas). He
was 9-for-12 from the field, hitting three 3-pointers, and was a
perfect 6-for-6 from the line against the Tornados. Schleigh was
then 12-of-23 from the field for a season-high 33 points while
adding nine rebounds in Saturday's loss at Mary
Hardin-Baylor.
Kevin McMahon
McMahon scored a career-high 39 points in overtime loss to Oswego
and added his 10th double-double of season in win vs. Geneseo.
McMahon averaged 31 points and 11 rebounds for the week, shooting
63 percent from the floor and 5-for-7 from beyond the arc.
Women's
Tyler Compton
Compton helped Concordia (Texas) to a 1-1 record last week. A
90-68 win in the regular-season finale over Hardin-Simmons on Feb.
22 allowed the Tornados to clinch its a conference tournament berth
behind Compton's career-high 37 points. Two days earlier, she
scored 25 points in a loss to Texas-Dallas. Compton averaged 31
points and 5.5 assists for the week, shooting 61.5 percent from the
floor.
Kaitlyn Read
Read recorded back-to-back double-doubles, beginning with a
career-high-tying 26 points and career-best 17 rebounds in a win
over Emory. Along with shooting 80 percent from the field against
the Eagles, Read also went 9-of-9 from the foul line. She added 11
points, 10 rebounds and six assists vs. Rochester.
Sydney Moss
Moss helped lead the Saints to a 2-0 record. She combined to shoot
60.4 percent from the field and posted a double-double in both
games, averaging 33.5 points and 13.0 rebounds while finishing
second on the team in assists (3.5). In the Saints'
108-59 win at Bethany on Feb. 19, Moss was 14-of-20 from the floor
and 3-for-4 from the line, scoring a game-high 33 points and
pulling down a game-high 16 rebounds to go along with a pair of
assists. She followed that up with her 11th double-double of the
season, going for 34 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, one blocked
shot and one steal in the team's 87-69 home win over St.
Vincent.
Bria Smith
Smith notched her 10th double-double of the season and shot 7-of-14
from the field and 7-of-9 from the line for 21 points, grabbed 13
rebounds (eight defensive), while adding three assists, three
steals and two blocks in 32 minutes. NJCU trailed 35-27 at the half
before Smith scored NJCU's first seven points of the second half,
and 11 of the Gothic Knights' first 15 points of the period.
Brittany King
King helped the Patriots close the ASC season with a 2-0 week,
averaging 28 points per game and 17.5 rebounds per game. King
scored 27 against Louisiana College and 29 points against
Mississippi College. She was 18-for-22 from the floor and 20-for-23
from the line.
