Women
Krista Prato Matthews
Prato Matthews averaged 20.0 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 4.7 blocks in three games last week, leading Trinity to a 2-1 record. She was a rebound shy of three double-doubles for the week. She six steals over the weekend, hitting 26-of-46 (.565) from the field and 8-of-12 from the foul line.
Liz Hickey
Hickey, the CAC athlete of the week, had a season-high 25 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and blocked eight shots in just 24 minutes as the Eagles defeated Washington and Lee, 79-64, in their only action of the week. She made 10-of-18 field goal attempts and 5-of-8 from the free throw line.
Dominique Murray
Murray recorded three straight double-doubles to open the season, registering a season-high 23 points against Keystone and pulling down a season-best 16 rebounds versus Brooklyn. She tied her career high with four blocks against Keuka and established a career best with five steals versus Keystone.
Margo Muhlbauer
Muhlbauer scored a career-high 33 points during BVU's 95-90 loss to Waldorf on Tuesday. She was named the MVP of the Buena Vista Classic on Friday and Saturday; scoring a game-high 26 points and dishing out five assists in a 82-64 win over Presentation College, before scoring 22 points and grabbing five rebounds in a 84-73 win over Nebraska Wesleyan.
Jackie Berry
Berry led Monclair to a 2-0 week as she provided a spark off the bench in the Red Hawk-Pioneer Classic last week. She averaged 14.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 2.0 steals in earning Most Valuable Player honors in the Classic. Berry had 12 points, six rebounds, seven assists and two steals as the Red Hawks overcame Union, 74-71. In that game, she sealed the win with an offensive rebound in the closing seconds.
Men
Jesse Gutekunst
Gutekunst, named to the Provident Bank Pride of Maryland tournament team, led Hood to its best ever finish in three years in the tournament (second place). He had three double-doubles; 18 points and 17 rebounds versus Johns Hopkins, 27 points and 19 rebounds against St. Mary's, and 23 points and 25 rebounds versus McDaniel.
Jake Baldwin
Baldwin averaged 31.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 2.3 steals in a 2-1 week for the Lions. He made 35-of-53 field goals (.660), and scored 42 points in the week's final contest. Baldwin was named to the Birmingham-Southern College Black Tie Classic All-Tournament Team.
Zach Johnson
Johnson began the week with a double double (26 points, 11 rebounds) against St. Scholatisca. He had back-to-back 28-point and eight-rebound games over the weekend, vs. Simpson and Wartburg.
Mike Moore
Moore, the MVP of Mike Rokicki Community Versus Cancer Challenge, had a career-high 28 points against Marian (Ind.). He averaged 23.5 points, 9.0 assists, and 3.5 rebounds on the week.
Wes Ladwig
In the Wisconsin Lutheran Invitational, Ladwig dropped 21 points in a 79-70 win over Concordia (Wis.), before pouring in a career-high 36 points in a 73-71 win over Wisconsin Lutheran. He shot a combined 19-of-34 from the field and was 15-of-21 from the free throw line. Over the weekend, Ladwig also grabbed 14 rebounds, dished out eight assists, blocked two shots and recorded four steals.
