Women's

Brandy Trice
Scored 22 of team's 25 second-half points in 65-50 loss to Eastern Nazarene. She averaged 29 points over the week, on 79 percent shooting. She also pulled down 29 rebounds and had five blocks in the two games.

Emily Tonn
Emily became the 10th Simpson player to score 1,000 points, Jan. 15 against Buena Vista. She tied the school record for most made 3-pointers in a game (five) on her way to 21 points against BV and 1,009 for her career. She also added three blocks, 17 rebounds and 13 assists.

Andrea Bressette
Bresette scored 38 points and pulled down 14 rebounds in Stout's 98-84 win at Superior Jan. 15. Bresette was 11-for-18 from the floor, 2-for-4 from 3-point range and 14-for-17 from the free-throw line. The 14 free throws made and the 17 attempted was a school record. On the week, she averaged 19.7 points, 9.3 rebounds, shot 19-for-37 (51.4 percent) from the floor, 4-for-7 (57.1 percent) from 3-point range, and 17-for-20 (85.0%) from the line. Bresette had four assists, three blocked shots and two steals.

Rose Scott
Scott averaged 23 points, 8.5 rebounds and five assists in two games last week. She hit 18 of 31 shots (58.1 percent) from the floor in the two contests. In a 72-57 victory against Ohio Valley on Jan. 15, Scott went 10-for-13 from the floor on her way to 25 points. She also had nine rebounds, six assists and three steals.

Jill VanGuilder
Led Hornets to a 3-0 week, including two Dixie games on the road. She scored her 1,000th career point in Sunday's win against CNU. She averaged 17.3 points, and added 17 boards and 13 assists to round off her week.

Men's

Jeremy Hyler
Scored 24 points and grabbed season-high 19 rebounds in loss to Defiance Jan. 12, going 10-for-15 from the floor. In Saturday's 64-61 loss to Adrian, Hyler posted his third straight double-double with 23 points and 12 rebounds on 9-for-14 shooting.

Jay Como
Averaged 17.5 points (team-high) and 6.0 rebounds, and converted on 57.7 percent (15-for-26) of his field goal attempts in a pair of CCC wins against Anna Maria (97-68) and Curry (82-59). Had 17 points at Anna Maria, and went 8-for-10 from the field as he scored a team-high 18 points vs. Curry.

Quintin Mason
Mason scored a game-high 21 points in just 23 minutes of a 73-43 rout of Rose-Hulman. He also had a team-high seven rebounds in addition to one steal and one assist with only one turnover. In Sunday's matchup with DePauw for first place in the SCAC, Mason scored a game-high 19 points in leading Trinity to the 78-73 victory. He also chipped in with three rebounds, four assists and two steals while committing only one turnover. For the weekend, Mason shot 54.8 percent from the floor (17-for-31), averaging 20 points and five rebounds per game as Trinity gained sole possession of first place in the SCAC.

Matt Comerford
Named MVP of the Chase Scholarship Tournament. Scored 25 of his career-high 37 points in the second half of the championship game, as No. 6 seed Fisher upset top-seeded Roberts Wesleyan 78-75. In the championship game, he scored Fisher's final 13 points and hit a career-high seven three-pointers.

Brandon Jones
Helped Christopher Newport to two 40-point wins in its first two Dixie Conference games. He averaged 20.5 points per game on the week and added five blocks and 11 assists in the two wins.
