She was named the tourney's MVP after also tallying 26 points and seven rebounds in a 72-62 semifinal win against Beaver. On Wednesday, Watkins had 24 points and seven rebounds in a loss to unbeaten King's. She also played a key role in helping two-time Team of the Week honoree Joanne Polakoski to season lows with 12 points and seven rebounds in the game.

Becky Roak
The 5-9 junior forward led Maine-Farmington to a come-from-behind victory against the University of New England. She scored nine points in the final five minutes of play including the go-ahead basket with 1:01 remaining in in the game to lift UMF to a 71-68 victory. The win improved the Beavers record to 3-5 at the close of the first semester. Through the first eight games Roak is averaging 16 points, seven rebounds, and three steals per game, while shooting 48 percent from the floor and 75 percent from the foul line.

Kate Smith
Kate, a 6-5 center, averaged 12.7 points, 9.0 rebounds and 5.7 blocks despite playing just 22 minutes per game. She matched her career-high with eight blocks in a 51-42 win against Brockport. Her defensive efforts also helped limit Brockport's Jen Feneli, last year's ECAC Upstate NY Player of the Year, to eight points, snapping Feneli's string of 51 consecutive games in double figures.

Sarah Chamovitz
Chamovitz averaged 25.0 points, 11 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 5.0 steals in a 1-1 week. She had 27 points, 14 rebounds and seven steals vs. Ursinus, then posted 23-8-3 numbers vs. Knox. She shot 64.3 percent from the field on the week (18-for-28).

Kathy Santiago
The 5-7 guard out of Washington Heights, NY has taken Division III by storm. Santiago, who came close to a quadruple-double two weeks ago, accomplished that feat Dec. 7. Santiago totaled 23 points, 12 rebounds, 12 assists, and 12 steals in Lehman's 80-25 victory over SUNY-Purchase. Following that feat, Santiago continued her torrid pace, by averaging 24 points, nine rebounds, eight steals and nine assists over the next three contests.

Men's

Brant Bailey
Bailey set a Division III record with 31 free-throw attempts in the Pointers' 90-81 victory against UW-La Crosse on Saturday. He also set WIAC records for free throws made and attempted while finishing 25-for-31 from the line. Bailey had 39 points, tying the Stevens Point single-game record. He also hauled in 16 rebounds and dished out four assists as the Pointers improved to 7-2, 3-1 WIAC. In a 65-63 victory at UW-Superior Wednesday, he scored 12 points in 15 minutes.

Joe Nixon
Nixon averaged 22.0 points and 9.0 rebounds per game as the Tigers went 2-0 on the week. In Wednesday's 90-81 victory against Judson, Nixon had 23 points and 11 rebounds, and in Saturday's 84-72 victory against 18th-ranked Manchester, he added 21 points in only 22 minutes of play. For the week, Nixon hit 18 of 30 shots from the field (60.0 percent) and seven of eight free throws (87.5 percent).

Scored 26 points vs. Lehman, career-high 37 vs. Brooklyn, and 33 vs. No. 7 Connecticut College. Also hit a career-high six 3-pointers against Brooklyn. Averaged a point per minute for the week. Weekly averages were 32.0 points, 10.7 rebounds, 2.3 blocks, .591 field-goal percentage and .476 three-point percentage.

Corey Dickerson
Dickerson enjoyed a stellar week, averaging 29.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 3.0 steals in a 2-0 week. He scored 31 points as King's upset fourth-ranked Wilkes 71-60, ending the Colonels 33-game home winning streak and giving King's their first win against their crosstown rival since 1993-94. The 6-0 junior guard added 28 points, including the 1,000th of his career, in a 103-79 victory against Misericordia. Dickerson has led the Monarchs to sole possession of first place (3-0) in the MAC Freedom for the first time since 1993-94. King's, which was 7-17 a year ago, stands at 6-2 on the year and has won six consecutive games for the first time since 1991-92.
