Women's

Lauren Turnbow
Turnbow had 42 points, six 3-pointers, and was 13-for-17 from the line last week. She also has compiled eight rebounds and 14 assists as Hendrix defeated Westminster (Mo.) 96-61 and University of the Ozarks 81-56 to win the Hendrix Tip-Off Classic.

Michelle Chambers
Led Sewanee to 3-0 start including 118-75 win against Emory setting a school record for points. Sewanee is averaging 102.3 points per game after three games and Chambers chips in with 23.6 of those in less than 25 minutes played per game. She also has 14 rebounds and 15 assists and is 80 percent from the free-throw line.

Karyn Kern
Kern was the MVP of the Susquehanna Varsity Club Tournament, and Rochester Chuck Resler Invitational, as she led her team to the championship in both events (29.3 ppg, 14.0 rpg). Kern pumped in a game and career-high 37 points while also grabbing 12 rebounds -- giving her a double-double in all four games this season, and the 41st of her career -- as she earned her second tournament Most Valuable Player while leading Susquehanna to the championship of the University of Rochester's Chuck Resler Invitational with a 76-71 win against the host Yellowjackets.

Joanne Polakoski
Polakoski was named MVP after leading King's to the team title at the eight-team Marymount Tip-Off Classic. In three games, she averaged 23.7 points and 15.0 rebounds, while shooting 66.7 percent (30-for-45) from the field and 84.6 percent (11-for-13) from the foul line. In the tourney, she also pulled down a career-high 18 rebounds in a 79-70 win against defending champion and host Marymount.

Annie Heile
Heile helped lead the Lady Grizzlies to a pair of high-scoring wins over the Thanksgiving week. On Tuesday she scored a career-high 29 points on 10-for-13 shooting from the field to lead Franklin to an 85-72 win against NAIA Division I Spalding. Anne also had a team-high 10 rebounds in that contest. On Saturday, she followed up with an 18-point, eight-rebound, three-block effort, along with 8-for-10 shooting from the field, as Franklin won on the road 94-89 against Alma in overtime. Anne's efforts left her fourth all-time in field goal percentage, third in blocked shots, 10th in rebounding, and 20th in scoring for her career just four games into her junior season.

Men's

Dave Jannuzzi
Jannuzzi was named the Most Valuable Player as the No. 3 Colonels opened their season by winning the Frostburg State Tournament. Jannuzzi scored 17 points as Wilkes won their opener 97-65 against Lincoln University. He then tossed in 25 tallies as Wilkes knocked off North Carolina Wesleyan 74-60 in the title game. On Tuesday, Jannuzzi scored 12 points and dished out five assists as Wilkes routed Cabrini 83-57 to improve their record to 3-0.

Scotty Sellers
Sellers was 6-for-6 from 3-point land in two games, and compiled 31 points and 10 assists in the first two games of the season. He was also 13-for-19 from the free throw line in 73 minutes of action this season.

Steve Horst
Scored a game-high 20 points as the Dutchmen defeated Division II Shippensburg 72-60. In three games this season Horst is averaging a team-high 20.3 points and 8.0 rebounds per game, while shooting 90 percent (27-for-30) from the line. He shot 67 percent from the stripe last season.

Aaron Winkle
Winkle helped lead Calvin to the championship of the Lee Pfund Classic at Wheaton (Ill.). In a 73-69 overtime victory against Wheaton, Winkle notched his 20th career double-double with 21 points and 14 rebounds (one short of matching a career-high). In overtime, Winkle scored seven of Calvin's 11 points including a pair of game-clinching free throws with two seconds left on the clock. Winkle was named the tournament's MVP. He now has 1,285 career points and is just 16 points away from moving into 7th place on the all-time Calvin career scoring list.

Aric Vaubel
Aric hit the shot that sent the UW-Oshkosh/Marian game into its first overtime period. He then scored 10 of his 23 points in the two overtime periods to help the Titans beat Marian 83-78.
