December 31, 2024 21 Consecutive Points Keys Nationally-Ranked WPI’s Triumph of SUNY-Geneseo Hartford, CT --- Tim Reidy and J.R. Newman each drained a pair of 3-pointers during a decisive 21-0 spurt early in the first half to help WPI men’s basketball cruise to a 79-48 victory against SUNY-Geneseo in the consolation game of the Trinity Holiday Tournament held in Oosting Gymnasium.
December 30, 2024 Late Rally Fall Short as No. 15 WPI Upset by Suffolk in Trinity Tournament Opener Hartford, CT --- Trailing by as many as 21 points with under eight minutes remaining, nationally-ranked WPI men’s basketball used a 22-5 run to get back to within four points with two minutes to go but the Engineers fell short in their comeback bid, falling to Suffolk 65-53 in a opening round contest in the Trinity Holiday Tournament inside Oosting Gymnasium.
November 30, 2024 Saturday: WPI, CMS look good after holidays No. 20 WPI topped No. 8 Tufts in the battle of undefeated Massachusetts teams while No. 1 Trine survived a late surge at Ohio Wesleyan and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps rocketed past No. 9 Trinity (Texas) in Saturday’s Division III men’s basketball action.
