The win gives the Beavers their fifth-ever NEWMAC postseason crown.
WORCESTER -- A 13-0 run sparked by Aidan Callahan, spanning six minutes late in the second half, was the catalyst in a No. 21 WPI men's basketball NEWMAC Semifinal round victory over Clark on Thursday night. The Engineers erased an eight-point deficit and came away with a 72-56 victory.
WORCESTER -- The #20 WPI (20-3, 12-1) men’s basketball team cemented the number one seed in the upcoming NEWMAC tournament with a convincing 86-56 victory over visiting Clark on Senior Day at Harrington Auditorium on Saturday. The Engineers improved to 21-3 overall with a 13-1 record in NEWMAC play, while Clark fell to 14-11, 6-8.
Norton, MA --- John Lowther tallied a game-best 18 points and Brett Marelli reached a new career-high with 17 to propel nationally-ranked WPI to a 68-48 triumph over host Wheaton in a NEMWAC men’s basketball contest on Wednesday evening.
New London, CT --- John Lowther keyed a decisive 9-1 late spurt with four points and an assist to lead No. 20 WPI to a 69-62 road victory over upset-minded Coast Guard in a NEWMAC men’s basketball contest played on Saturday afternoon.
WORCESTER -- John Lowther collected his fourth double-double of the season and eighth of his career to propel nationally-ranked WPI to a 70-45 NEWMAC triumph over visiting MIT in a matchup of Engineers played Wednesday evening in Harrington Auditorium.
WORCESTER -- A John Lowther steal that led to a Donovan Sevilla bucket with 2.1 seconds remaining gave the #12 WPI men’s basketball team a thrilling 55-54 come-from-behind win over visiting Babson on Saturday afternoon in Harrington Auditorium. The Engineers improve to 17-3 overall, 9-1 in NEWMAC play, while the Beavers dip to 13-8, 6-4.
Boston, MA --- The #12 WPI men’s basketball team saw its eight-game win streak come to the end, as Emerson used a lights-out shooting performance in the second half to earn a 71-66 victory at Plofker Gym on Wednesday night. The Lions (12-8, 7-2) handed the Engineers (16-3, 8-1) their first NEWMAC loss of the season.
Springfield, MA --- John Adams’ hot-streak continued as he dropped 27 points and 12 rebounds while the nationally-ranked WPI men’s basketball team bested Springfield 83-58 Saturday afternoon at Blake Arena.
WORCESTER -- The #13 WPI men’s basketball team ran away with a 77-49 victory over visiting Coast Guard on Wednesday night at Harrington Auditorium. The Engineers, winners of seven straight, move to 15-2 overall, remaining a perfect 7-0 in NEWMAC play. The Bears fall to 4-13 overall, 2-4 in conference action.
WORCESTER -- A 11-0 run just over midway through the second half was the difference in a 78-68 WPI men’s basketball victory over Wheaton on Saturday afternoon at Harrington Auditorium.
WORCESTER -- The WPI men’s basketball team remained undefeated in 2023 with a 83-75, hard-fought victory at Clark on Wednesday night to improve to 5-0 in conference action.

Babson Park, MA --- Aidan Callahan, Brett Marelli and Donovan Sevilla all reached double figures in scoring and WPI held its third consecutive conference opponent to under 50 points as the Engineers knocked off host Babson 61-49 in a NEWMAC men's basketball contest played on Thursday.
Cambridge, MA --- Aidan Callahan tallied all of his 13 points in the first half and the top scoring defense in Division III held an opponent to fewer than 50 points for the seventh time this season as WPI went on the road and defeated NEWMAC rival MIT 88-40 on Saturday afternoon.
WORCESTER -- John Lowther registered 14 of his game-high 18 points in the first half and WPI held Springfield without a field goal for the final 7:26 of the opening stanza as the Engineers bested the visiting Pride 76-48 Wednesday evening in the NEWMAC men’s basketball opener for both squads.
WORCESTER -- #1 Saint Joseph stood up to its top billing, as the Blue Jays downed #14 WPI, 67-55, in non-conference men’s basketball action at Harrington Auditorium on Friday afternoon. USJ improves to 10-0 on the season, while the Engineers fall to 8-2.
Utica, NY --- Andrew Lufkin was a rebound shy of a double-double and NCAA Division III’s top scoring defense limited host SUNY Poly to 41 points as the nationally-ranked WPI knocked off the host Wildcats 77-41 in a Monday men’s basketball non-conference matinee.
Salem, MA --- The foursome of Aidan Callahan, John Lowther, John Adams and Andrew Lufkin accounted for 60 of nationally-ranked WPI’s 77 points as the Crimson and Gray went on the road Saturday and defeated Salem State 77-62 in a non-conference men’s basketball matchup.

Clinton, NY --- The No.6 WPI men’s basketball team dropped its first game of the 2022-23 season, falling to Hamilton on the road on Saturday, 86-77. The Engineers’ season mark is now 5-1, while the Continentals improve to 6-2.
WORCESTER -- Reigning NEWMAC Defensive Player of the Week Aidan Callahan anchored a stifling defensive effort with a career-best 10 steals and J.R.
