WORCESTER -- Nathan Bledsoe notched a career-high 22 points and four others reached double digits in scoring to hoist WPI to a tough 79-71 triumph over visiting Ithaca in the second round of the 2025 NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Tournament on Saturday evening in Harrington Auditorium. 

WORCESTER -- Tim Reidy and Aidan Callahan both notched 27 points and J.R. Newman chipped in with 12 as WPI opened the 2025 NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Tournament with a hard-earned 81-71 victory over visiting Husson in a first-round contest played Friday evening inside Harrington Auditorium. 

WORCESTER -- Quentin Pridgen nailed 6-of-7 3-point attempts, and teammate Bruce Saintilus was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player as second-seeded Clark upset top-seeded and nationally-ranked WPI 80-65 in the championship game of the 2025 NEWMAC Men’s Basketball Tournament on Saturday afternoon inside WPI’s Harrington Auditorium. 

WORCESTER -- Aidan Callahan topped five WPI players in double figure scoring as the top-seeded Engineers rallied from a 15-point first half deficit to topple fourth-seeded Emerson 93-73 in a NEWMAC Men’s Basketball semifinal contest played Thursday evening in Harrington Auditorium.

WORCESTER -- Seniors Will Barton, Aidan Callahan, Brett Marelli, and Tim Reidy combined for 50 points as the WPI men’s basketball team established a new conference record with its 15th NEWMAC victory of the season as the host Engineers celebrated Senior Day with a 92-56 triumph over Wheaton on Saturday afternoon in Harrington Auditorium.

Springfield, MA --- Brett Marelli continued his run of strong play with 21 points to help the nationally-ranked WPI men’s basketball team grind out a 58-52 NEWMAC road triumph over Springfield Wednesday evening inside Blake Arena.

WORCESTER -- On a day that WPI men’s basketball honored the 40th anniversary of the 1984-85 NCAA Tournament Elite Eight team and the 20th anniversary of the first NEWMAC Tournament championship and NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 squad from 2004-05, this year’s Crimson and Gray put their own stamp on the program by never trailing in defeating visiting MIT 72-53 and securing the 2025 NEWMAC regular season title outright Saturday afternoon in Harrington Auditorium. 

WORCESTER -- Senior Brett Marelli exploded for a career-high 24 points to help nationally-ranked WPI captured its fourth consecutive and 13th overall NEWMAC Men’s Basketball regular season championship as the Engineers fended off host Clark 67-64 Wednesday evening at the Kneller Center.

New London, CT – Senior captain Aidan Callahan (Rowley, MA) knocked down a mid-range jumper for the go-ahead bucket in the waning seconds to lift the nationally-ranked No.18 WPI Men’s Basketball to a 75-74 nail-biting NEWMAC victory over Coast Guard on Saturday afternoon inside Roland Gymnasium.

WORCESTER -- Justin Molen tallied a career-high 19 points to propel the No.19 WPI men’s basketball team to a come from behind 71-65 triumph on Wednesday evening inside Harrington Auditorium.

Newport, RI --- Brett Marelli scored what proved to be the winning basket and then swiped the game-saving steal in the final seconds as nationally-ranked WPI survived its third road game in five days with a 58-56 nail-biting NEWMAC men’s basketball triumph at Salve Regina on Saturday afternoon.

Norton, MA --- Five different WPI men’s basketball players tallied between 11 and 13 points as the nationally-ranked Engineers utilized a balanced scoring attack and a stifling perimeter defense evening to knock off host Wheaton 68-55 to wrap the opening round of NEWMAC play on Thursday evening.

Cambridge, MA --- Five different WPI players connected on multiple 3-pointers as the Crimson and Gray drained 17 trifectas and shot 53.4% overall from the field in a 104-67 NEWMAC road victory over MIT inside Rockwell Cage on Tuesday evening.  The 104 points marked the 49th time in program history WPI has reached the century mark and the first time since registering 103 in a win over Mitchell in November of 2021.

WORCESTER -- Tim Reidy notched a career-high 22 points and nationally-ranked WPI’s defense held visiting Clark to 27 points under its scoring average as the Engineers moved into first place in the NEWMAC with a hard-earned 58-49 triumph over the Cougars on Thursday evening inside Harrington Auditorium.

Boston, MA --- J.R. Newman delivered a career-best performance, dropping an impressive 22 points to lead the WPI men's basketball team to a commanding 88-65 NEWMAC victory Emerson Lions on Saturday afternoon inside the newly dedicated Hank Smith Court.  

WORCESTER -- J.R. Newman erupted for a career-high 17 points as WPI men’s basketball jumped out to a big first half lead on its way to a 73-60 triumph over visiting Coast Guard as both teams returned to NEWMAC play on Wednesday evening inside Harrington Auditorium.   

Hartford, CT --- Tim Reidy and J.R. Newman each drained a pair of 3-pointers during a decisive 21-0 spurt early in the first half to help WPI men’s basketball cruise to a 79-48 victory against SUNY-Geneseo in the consolation game of the Trinity Holiday Tournament held in Oosting Gymnasium.

Hartford, CT --- Trailing by as many as 21 points with under eight minutes remaining, nationally-ranked WPI men’s basketball used a 22-5 run to get back to within four points with two minutes to go but the Engineers fell short in their comeback bid, falling to Suffolk 65-53 in a opening round contest in the Trinity Holiday Tournament inside Oosting Gymnasium.

No. 20 WPI topped No. 8 Tufts in the battle of undefeated Massachusetts teams while No. 1 Trine survived a late surge at Ohio Wesleyan and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps rocketed past No. 9 Trinity (Texas) in Saturday’s Division III men’s basketball action.

WORCESTER -- Tournament Most Outstanding Player Nate Amado finished with a game-high 17 points to propel third-seeded Babson to a hard-earned 59-53 victory over top-seed and host WPI in the title game of the 2023 NEWMAC Men’s Basketball Tournament Saturday afternoon at Harrington Auditorium.  The win gives the Beavers their fifth-ever NEWMAC postseason crown.

WORCESTER -- A 13-0 run sparked by Aidan Callahan, spanning six minutes late in the second half, was the catalyst in a No. 21 WPI men's basketball NEWMAC Semifinal round victory over Clark on Thursday night. The Engineers erased an eight-point deficit and came away with a 72-56 victory. 

WORCESTER -- The #20 WPI (20-3, 12-1) men’s basketball team cemented the number one seed in the upcoming NEWMAC tournament with a convincing 86-56 victory over visiting Clark on Senior Day at Harrington Auditorium on Saturday. The Engineers improved to 21-3 overall with a 13-1 record in NEWMAC play, while Clark fell to 14-11, 6-8. 

Norton, MA --- John Lowther tallied a game-best 18 points and Brett Marelli reached a new career-high with 17 to propel nationally-ranked WPI to a 68-48 triumph over host Wheaton in a NEMWAC men’s basketball contest on Wednesday evening.
