March 22, 2025Jarrel Okorougo carried Trinity (Conn.) early, and Henry Vetter carried them late, as he scored all 14 of his points in the second half, including the game-winner, to get the Bantams past NYU for the 2025 Division III men's basketball national title. -

March 20, 2025The NESCAC representative in the Division III men’s basketball national championship game will be wearing blue and yellow, after Trinity held off a late Wesleyan run to defeat its conference foe and archrival 73-69 in Thursday’s first national semifinal. -

Swarthmore moved off the bubble and into the Big Dance by beating Johns Hopkins in the Centennial men's final, Trinity (Conn.) avenged its lone loss against Williams, and Mary Schleusner had a performance for the ages in the ODAC women's title game. January 10, 2023HARTFORD, Conn. - First-year forward Jarrel Okorougo (Stoneham, Mass.) had 17 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Trinity College Bantams to an 80-59 victory over the visiting Eastern Nazarene College Lions in men's basketball action this evening on Ogrodnik Court at Oosting Gymnasium. Trinity improves to 14-1 for the first time since 2003-04 with its fifth victory in a row and will visit New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) rival Connecticut College on Friday at 7 p.m. Eastern Nazarene falls to 6-8 and will host New England College on Saturday at 2 p.m. -
Trinity Men's Basketball Wins At Bowdoin
January 07, 2023BRUNSWICK, Maine - The visiting Trinity College Bantams improved to 13-1 overall and 2-0 in the NESCAC with their fourth win in a row, 73-58, against the Bowdoin College Polar Bears in New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) men's basketball action this afternoon at Morrell Gymnasium. Trinity will host Eastern Nazarene in its next game on Tuesday at 6 p.m. Rookie Henry Vetter (Kenilworth, Ill.) scored 17 points, junior Gilbert Otoo (Burtonsville, Md.) had 15 points, and sophomore forward Sean Macarchuk (Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y.) added 12 points for the Bantams. Bowdoin, now 6-8 overall and 0-2 in the league, was led by Afamdi Achufusi with 13 points. -
Trinity Men's Basketball Wins Holiday Invitational Final Over Farmingdale State
December 31, 2022HARTFORD, Conn. - The host Bantams captured the 2022 Trinity College Men's Basketball Holiday Invitational title with a 68-65 victory over the Farmingdale State College Rams on Ogrodnik Court in Oosting Gymnasium this afternoon. Trinity, which downed the Framingham State Rams in the first round yesterday, improves to 11-1 for the first time since 2006-07, while Farmingdale State is now 8-4 with today's loss and a 78-65 win against the Endicott College Gulls in the first round. In the consolation game, the Gulls defeated Framingham State, 85-65. Drew Brown represented Endicott, now 7-3, on the all-tournament team and Bryan Thompson made it for the 3-10 Framingham State Rams. Nick Hurowitz scored 24 points and nine rebounds and made the all-tournament team for Farmingdale State, while senior captains C.J. Redd (Peekskill, N.Y.) and Dana Smith (Providence, R.I.) represented the champion Bantams. Trinity will open New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) play on Friday, January 6 at 7 p.m. on the road against Colby College. -
Trinity College Wins A.J. Buchanan Men's Basketball Classic Title
November 19, 2022HARTFORD, Conn. - Senior captain C.J. Redd (Peekskill, N.Y.) had 19 points and five rebounds to lead the visiting Trinity College Bantams to a 70-43 win over the Manhattanville College Valiants in the finals of the A.J. Buchanan Men's Basketball Classic this evening at Kennedy Gymnasium. Trinity improves to 3-0, winning the title with today's win and an 86-75 victory over Gwynedd Mercy in the semifinals last night. Redd, who scored 25 points on Friday, was named the tournament MVP. The Bantams return home to host Eastern Connecticut on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. -
