The Cardinals had a balanced offense with three players notching double figures led by sophomore guard Julia Greek (Long Island, N.Y. / Ward Melville) with 12 points, three steals, two rebounds, and two assists. -

The Cardinals had three players in double figures led by senior guard/forward Payton Couture (Redford, N.Y. / Saranac) with 11 points, nine rebounds, and two assists. -

February 15, 2025CANTON, N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State women's basketball team clinched a State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) playoff berth for the first time since 2015 on Saturday evening despite falling to Canton 58-46 in road SUNYAC action. After Plattsburgh cut Canton's lead to as low as three, the Kangaroos outscored the Cardinals 11-2 for the rest of the quarter as Plattsburgh ultimately fell 58-46. Senior guard/forward Payton Couture (Redford, N.Y. / Saranac) led all scorers with 21 points to go with a career-high 15 rebounds and three assists as she recorded her sixth double-double of the season. -
Women’s Basketball Falls Short on the Road Against Oswego State
February 14, 2025OSWEGO, N.Y. – After trailing by as much as 17 points the Plattsburgh State women's basketball team came within five points with less than a minute remaining but ultimately fell short 67-55 in State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) action after the Lakers ended the fourth quarter on a 7-0 run. Junior center Imani Walcott (Albany, N.Y. / Albany) led the Cardinals in scoring with 12 points to go with a team-high 12 rebounds for her seventh double-double of the season. -
